great point. My point is always, Genre is a system of classification. In metal especially it is necessary. How pissed off would someone be if they wanted to hear more bands like auras, and could only search "metal" and find ony slayer and megadeath and anthrax

Yes Djent is not technically a genre, even though most including I call it one, its just the guitar tone. But its just about identifying music anyways. These guys are fucking awesome.

Points to you guys for calling a 7-track release an EP rather than an album. The vocals sound a little flattened, even in the 1080p video, it detracts a bit from the overall depth of the song, but there's still a good chance that's just because of youtube messing with the audio. Aside from that I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Certain musical parameters are implied because this misnomer "djent" is too widespread to possibly explain to everyone that "djent" is just a sound. Any djent band you've ever heard is, in fact, a metal band. Now, which subgenre of metal they are is a totally different story, but it's all metal.
There is nothing that distinguishes them from any other new progressive metal/deathcore/djent/whatever the hell you wanna call this band. They are talented of course, but it's nothing new. If you don't have the right connections, you have to rely on innovation.
when music brings tears to your eyes and goosebumps that want to pop right off your skin then you know you are listening to some badass music.
