That judge is not bias. He didn’t allow certain information in the court which was a blow to prosecution.

Are you even listening?!?!? The attorney said he wanted to use a DELETED recording as VERBAL evidence. The judge isn’t allowing it because that would be considered as HEARSAY, because there is NO physical proof at this point that the conversation the lawyer is trying to use was actually had! He also stated he requested the statement the defendants lawyer wanted and said he was waiting for it! The judge is doing his job, maybe not eloquently but he’s making sure the loose ends are being tied on his end…

In this clip Steele is ranting at least as much as the prosecution was ranting. He is borderline disrespectful and many judges would not tolerate it. But this Judge likes to spar so it does not seem as if he is taking offense.

If you haven't watch it all you wouldn't understand or maybe you would for comment you just made last, I check judge has to let both sides speak it's called giving clients fair trial not everything state says is true however the judge stills side with the state as if they are all working together.

And that's a shame because her attitude right off was all aggressive and sharp and unprofessional. The defense lawyer took time to get to that point of excitement and aggressive argumentativeness. And besides, she knows that that cop sometimes withhold evidence. This is especially the case when they truly believe that the perp is truly guilty of the crime despite the indecisive evidence or lack of it.
The prosecutor is so much worse.
This judge Is not allowing a fair trial.

@@ceenote6364 I’ve been watching since day one. This judge is fair. This case is naturally messy given the amount of evidence and the number of people being convicted. One issue here doesn’t screw up the many other pieces of evidence. For me I think they have proven the case already. But they are going for completeness as they should.
The judge is terrible…. She badgered the court for 30 mins about interview after he ruled it couldn’t be used because it was after dude lawyered up & he didn’t raise his voice & be so nasty with the DA.
I'm convince the judge and the DA dated in the past. He's didn't interrupt the DA not once but interrupted the defense attorney multiple times. This judge absolutely need to step down.

I’m not saying that he’s in the right, but why is that defense attorney not allowed to speak uninterrupted like the prosecutor did? She was able to speak for a long time, even repeat herself without interruption. The defense attorney can’t get out two sentences without being steamrolled.

He makes derogatory statements about defense counsel in front of the jury, and wont let the defense say 3 words before cutting him off..
He never corrects the prosecution in front of the jury and lets them rant and rave for thirty minutes over a ruling he has already made..
He is obviously biased towards the state, just from his actions..

I’m going to start to watch more closely. Until the comment above, I hadn’t seen the judge be biased. I’m not saying that he hadn’t. I just mean that I hadn’t seen enough.
There might have to be a curative jury instruction or a mistrial and need a change of venue. Maybe.

It will be interesting if this case goes to appeals, but the judge has already denied a motion for recusal and mistrial, so if any remedy is forthcoming, it will have to come from the appellate court..

I actually saw another clip, involving the potential violation of the defendant's Miranda rights, where there is a dispute between the judge and the prosecution.
