For a fair compare you should get the L100's off the floor a bit. I like to run my L100t's with my L36's stacked on top of them to make the sound appear fuller. It really makes for an improvement, but important to run each pair off their own amp or receiver for best results. The L100s and L100t's playing together would sound mind-blowing. Positioning is critical. L100t's typically have a brighter sound, though some say too bright. I love mine.
For the comparison can't imagine having 2 speakers right in front of the L100t's blocking the soundstage. I have a pair purchased new in '87 and rebuilt by a retired JBL guy few years ago. Drive them with a McIntosh 7900 , 200 wpc onto 8 ohms and have the Denon DCD-A110 SACD player. I'm sure the L-100's are good too but I think the t's have better bass for the classic rock.
My personal opinion is it does not take much to hear they are obviously totally different. Even if the placement is not optimal, which in fact it is, totally agree.
I miss my L100T’s. Would love to see them back in production.
They are fantastic speakers!
I have them both too, both are great and have their own unique way of sounding
The 100T's are the goats!! Output, low dropping monsters. I hope one day to own a set like my uncle did.
They punch way above their running price in all respects :)

Thanks for the comment, sound wise I agree with you.😊
Thank you
I know who has my first pair speaker's (century L 100) I think I want to buy them back. Those speakers were built so well.
Yes, indeed, vintage is so much better!
how is the Marantz PM4 doing on these bigger boys? would love to hear some words? :D
PM4 is too weak, Yamaha PC2602 is a much more adequate power.
They both sound like my Bluetooth speaker sitting on the counter next to me
I sense you are a smart guy and have two good ears!
The bass is stupendously better. One of The best woofers ever 2214H
Cannot agree more.
Nicely done comparison video 👍

I often have people asking how their sound compares, so now they will know more or less :)
The Hights frpm the L100 are much more present..."
I have no idea how to judge this comparison video. The L100t are basically blocked by the L100s. Any personal opinions?

All you had to do is put them on either side the L100. And maybe point your finger to the one playing.
L100 are much cleaner...."
Les L100T montent plus dans l'aigu
Metallic tweeter.
Which do you prefer? Thank you.
I prefer the older L100, alnico version. But L100T is also a very good speaker. Cannot go wrong with either.
