yes , but we ALL must end the domocrats from this planet , they are trying to stop all these events ! All gearheads MUST vote republican to stop their bullshit . we must and will have these cars !
Love the Southeast Gassers association! Great organisation with lots of cool cars. ! Also love the red tinted window comet & the extended roof Chevy 2 & on & on !! I've seen this group in S.C. and liked them ever since.! Thanks for posting this cool video, great coverage.!
I believe chevy made a couple a/fx chevy ii ‘s Houston platt and I want to say Malcolm Durham. This one is too cool looks like a rambler marlin roof section grafted on it

@Hotrodhoarder thanks for including a shot of the Kraut! much appreciated. H/Gas is on the verge with several cars under construction and will have three cars at the SEGA Huntsville event Oct 16th. We'll also have a display of some of the cars being built lined up for folks to see.
Awesome job of covering this event, Tommy! Brings back memories for me of the gassers in the 60s. BTW thanks for the reminder on the trunk of the Nova at the end. Thanks for another great post!
Great stuff! Looks like they used a Marlin fastback to graft on the back of the Dixie Twister Chevy. I thought the Ranchero was super rad, dug the T-Bird, the SC/Rambker, and so many others! Great to see the girls in mini skirts & go-go boots too!
Love SEGA, they used to post their videos on UA-cam. They don't post very many any more. I live way too far away to come see them live. I watch all they post. It was tragic that Quain lost his wife Cindy especially since she had just bought "Flower Power."

A/FX is still considered an exhibition class, we run solo passes at some events and pair up at others depending on the schedule, we did pair up in the finals with Robert Frazier in the Black and Blue Barracuda taking the win, we have 5 cars in the class right now with several in work, we should have more side by side races next season, thanks for the interest.
They do. They typically will spray and drag the track early in the day. From then on out, it does not get sprayed unless there is an oil down or something like that.
Sorry about that. My main purpose for being at the event was covering it for a magazine, so I had to jump around quite a bit from still photography to video, so I wasn't able to get a ton of video coverage.
The cars are always interesting, so are the mini skirts and go go boots 🤪😎👍🏻
The real small tire cars before small tire was such a huge deal now🏁🏁
Too cool. I liked the black nova with the, what looked like a marlin rear deck on it. Thanks 👍
SEGA puts on one of the best shows in drag racing. The cars speak for themselves, a must see event for any gearhead.
love that patriot falcon .. so similar to a friend of mines car back in 74 .. it`s still around somewhere in north Bama ..
Was a amazing night. Glad I got to meet you financially!!!
Super show! I am old enough to remember when weekly racing at my local strip was full of cars that looked very much like these.
Lots of Falcons and novas my kind of race
It's the swinging 60s all over again! 😎🌼 👢Awesome event and cool cars! Thanks for sharing!!
Keep the great videos coming, lots of great memories.
Great video! All manual transmissions. That's how it should be.

That 55 Chevy "Storming Bull" is one bad competitor 👍 Ferd was a hell of driver out of Maryland.
Wow, that intro 🤯 sounds like 10,000 rpm!
Now this is what I call Drag Racing! Hot Cars & Girls!!!
I could feel the ground shake, and smell the fumes. I would love to see them in person. Makes me want a gasser. Ron
I streeted a shoe box Nova SS in the day😁 factory twelve bolt car. This vid takes me back. Thanks for sharing 🙏😁👍

@@timrayburn2461 Well, it’s sort of styled that way but is custom fabbed.
Cool video, hey any updates on Milburn Varners old cars? Hope he puts the GTX back to a driver, not likely though

Greta Thornburg is pulling her hair out. Dont you know your killing her dreams and future by doing burnouts and racing? Awesome video. Thanks

It's a legend!
That Chevy II with the long roof have seen one of them in a old Hot Rod Magazine.
Are you thinking of Steve Magnante's gasser tribute? Always loved reading his articles back in the 90s - early 00s.
Thank you for the video. Why didn't the A/FX cars race each other?

Curious to what the vw ran
Are there any of the LS gassers or are most of them e85?
And the red light award goes to...
that dixie twister is just weird looking .. looks like a rambler marlin .
I believe that is what the top came from
Do they prep the track for these type of races?
They do. They typically will spray and drag the track early in the day. From then on out, it does not get sprayed unless there is an oil down or something like that.
I dig the super stock class, straight axles don’t do it for me.
Would have been better to see the mopars go down the track instead of just the burnout
