- ILRELL asked me to showcase this a day ago, and I knew it'd be worth it right away. I had previously seen G4lvatron's part (1:47) but nothing else. However, knowing his megacollabs, you can rest assured that they will be high quality, at least visually. This was made in 1 week, but that doesn't change much with levels like "Twenty Four" by some of the same creators being made in 48 hours with great results.
"Postbluane" has a fantasy theme which is obvious from the very first second. The art in both the background and foreground, as well as the color usage, is amazing in the first part, and similar things can be said for the rest of the level. Of course it isn't completely consistent from part to part, with certain ones being slightly more boring, but that's to be expected in a megacollab with so many creators. The quality stays very high enough throughout the entirety of the level, which is impressive considering the time frame. More importantly to me, every part features a nice take on the fantasy theme, and I like how some of them change it up a lot in terms of art and color. All in all, there isn't much to criticize visually here as I was expecting going into it.
I specified earlier that the visual quality is assured to be high, leaving out gameplay, which was intentional. Making an art level like this often poses some gameplay challenges, and that's even more true in a megacollab which mixes a lot of different styles. A couple of parts had some minor gameplay bugs, such as the dash orb at 0:47, and the transitions can bug a little, such as the one at 0:54. Aside from some minor things like these, I found it pretty enjoyable to play, so with those fixed it will be quite polished in gameplay as well. They are also gonna fix some visual issues. After that is all done, I'd say this deserves an Epic rating, and it will probably be 7 Stars.
- COIN RATING -
Silver. 2/4. The level has 2 coins, and neither are completely effortless and free. They're at least slightly harder than the normal route. To get a higher rating, they could have been even harder to get, but most importantly have a bit more to them.
• 1st coin: Silver. The first coin, starting from 0:34, is definitely the best of the two. There's a random orb with fairy wings and an envelope below it, and using it was quite instinctive for me personally. This "opens" the envelope, revealing a coin, which is quite clever since you have already passed that point after using the orb. After that, the orb and coin fly above you with their fairy wings until 0:37 where you can use the orb to get the coin. The way this is executed is really nice, and I only wish it was slightly harder for a Gold rating.
• 2nd coin: Bronze. At 1:34, the coin is visible below the portals. The first time I saw this I was wondering if I missed a collectible earlier on, but then I tried jumping off the platform early and I got the coin. It's very simple without much to it, and it isn't difficult to do either, so it can't get anything higher than a Bronze rating.

I'm so happy to have this finally released after a week of fun and pain
that being said, i suggest you guys refrain from calling this the best of anything, at least for the next week or two. y'all always do that every single time viprin uploads a video and it shows a lack of awareness of recency bias.
There's a ton of stuff matty has to fix still (hopefully before nexus uploads, if he will).
merging and transitioning was a complete communication disaster and we discovered a TON of visual and gp bugs after this video was recording, despite matty and i having playtested and bugfixed for 2 straight days. which was honestly a mistake in my hosting. i did the overarching creative direction & stuff but one thing i overlooked massively was getting everyone to set up their parts in a way that allows for easier transitions. seems extremely obvious in hindsight but i thought a personal discussion between members instead of a centralized direction was sufficient. apparently not.
a lot of stuff i'd do completely different if i'm gonna do this again in 2.2. that's a big IF.
it kinda pains me to have the most popular video of this level (lets face it, its viprin, it will be.) be the most broken one. but that's what comes with early access. either way, expect better in 2.2.
This aged super well, the sequel ended up being the first non-platformer mythic in 2.2!
Biggest jawdrop i had in a while right there
Each part is so different yet so connected, and the artistic merit just radiates throughout each part, it doesn't feel like just throwing objects around and it perfectly conveys what it wants, feels a lot like an isekai of some sort. All the visuals are super elegant and it's such a cute level. Oh, and did i mention? All the visuals are super elegant!
But seriously, this perfectly goes hand-to-hand with the song, and I'm honestly just... jealous, i really am jealous of the talent these creators have
Oh, and, to know that a lot of these parts were built within 48 hours?? hello?? that's just insane. I just genuinely can't put it into proper words right now, i can't make a well articulated review because of how much in shock i am, no joke

This might be my new favorite level in the game. I love when levels have this sense of progression, it works so well with what the song was going for. Got goosebumps throughout, and I love when levels end up in different emotions. Such a fantastic job, and insane to see the 24 hour cap. Feels like something straight out of Violet Evergarden or a Ghibli movie.
AAAAA THATS WHAT I WAS GOING FORJDFGJDSFGSJDFGJSD
This level most certainly does not look like it's been built in such a short amount of time. Throughout the entire level there are simply exceptional visuals with top notch composition, colors, clean execution and amazing atmosphere. This has to be one of my favorite art levels of this year or probably even of all time. I'm seriously so excited to see what art levels will look like with some of the groundbreaking new building features in 2.2 when amazing creators like these can make such fantastic levels already in 2.1. Speaking of the update, it's actually pretty weird to know that it's October already and this huge update that we've been waiting for over six years could technically release at any day from now. (I personally don't expect it to release in early October but it's still possible of course) I feel like we're currently at a peak of creativity and ambition in the creator community, especially for art creators and it just makes me so happy and excited. Even if 2.2 might start with a bit if chaos, I'm certain we'll see incredibly skilled creators being able to handle many of these new 2.2 features really soon and releasing some stunning projects in the early days of this update already. It's just awesome, fascinating and exciting to be a part of this journey and I can't wait to see the future developments of it!

I love how these guys made one of the best art megacollabs of the update in only a week. Didn't expect anything less from this absolutely stacked roster of creators though. You know an mc will be epic when they get both loco (who generally doesn't join mcs as far as I know), and galva (who has been gone from the creating scene since 2019) to join.
Probably my new favorite level! This is such a stacked lineup of creators and one of the nicest themes I’ve ever seen!

I wouldn't have believed the first part was made in gd but for Viprin's icon, and it should be illegal to make something as good as 1:50 ... Seriously though, this brings the art form of GD to a whole other level. I'm awestruck by how good some people in the community are at making these masterpieces.
