What's your favorite Natalie Portman movie role?
Thor series & No Strings Attached
Queen Amidala ❤
Star Wars 1 - 3 (Amidala, Padme)
While I like other movies she's been in more, her performance in Black Swan was recognized by many. She inhabited the character enough I never thought about other roles she played.
Cold Mountain and Heat are my 2 favorite movies Portman was in, but she had minor roles in both. Her best role was probably V for Vendetta.
Loki's plan kind of changes as the movie goes along. Originally he's just spoiling Thor's big day (when Odin is going to name him the next king). After he realizes he's a Frost Giant (and Thor's been banished), his plan shifts to cementing his spot as the next king. To do that, he lets the giants in a second time and then kills them when they attack Odin, setting himself up as the savior. He then goes to kill all the frost giants, partially to make himself the hero, but also because he can't risk the giants revealing that Loki helped them.
I think part of it _is_ self-hate. Look at Loki's reaction when he discovered his background; he was a monster!
By destroying Jotunheim he also symbolically what he hates about himself.
@@Caseytify I definitely agree with that as well
No, the real reason is to solidify himself as a member of the house of Odin and disconnect himself from the Frost Giants. They already knew that he let them in the first place, that doesn't matter.
@@Caseytify He was taught to hate himself BY ODIN, Mr. I'm trying to protect you, himself. What a bunch of bullocks.
Loki is also known as the trickster. It's his nature to be mischievous, regardless of the consequences.
Loki is known as the trickster in Norse mythology. He wanted to destroy the giants planet because in his mind this would prove him worthy to be king. Plus he doesn’t like being a frost giant , so to him out of sight out mind.Hey, Boo!
😺👋
I love when people start to recognize the Stan Lee cameos. It's such a neat thing that both hard core nerds and casual viewers can geek out on.
Loki tried playing both sides. He let the frost giants in, so it would seem that he had saved Odin and protected Aasgaard. Hope that helped.❤
Loki is the God of Mischief. He owes no allegiance to anyone regardless of what he says. Everything he does is for a selfish reason.
Which it did.
@@craigmccuistian Keep telling yourself, meanwhile Odin is the one whose lied about EVERYTHING IN THEIR LIVES and cares about no one but himself. That sounds more like the DEFINITION OF SELFISH.
@radicalreactions1633 He did, didn't he. He also lied about Thor being his first born.
@@radicalreactions1633 Odin did it for a good reason.
“I can’t tell if [Loki’s] good or bad.”
Get used to that feeling.
Note the name of that Norwegian town; Tonsberg. It shows up again in the future.
Thor became worthy when he was willing to sacrifice himself to save others. He did it without expectation of victory or any reward... and now he's baaaack...
Your faces throughout this move were priceless. I guess that's why I keep coming back to watch your reactions.
Thank you so much for watching with us and for your kind words!
As for Loki, remember he was left for dead by his father, probably because he was abnormally small. This is enough to generate his hatred for the frost giants.
Remember, you shouldn't believe everything you hear from a lying narcissist aka Odin. He took Loki because he didn't want Jotunheim to have another King after Laufey died, please get some common sense. All Odin cares about is power.
@@radicalreactions1633 Loki must have been very small since he grew to be much smalle than a regular frost giant. It is not unheard of, in human history anyway, for babies that are deemed to be abnormal to be rejected. I see no reason to question Odin's motives, if indeed he had grown weary of war. I also see no reason to tell me I that I lack comon sense.
@@marygifford9379Indeed, this was the norm for the Greek city-state of Sparta. Any child with any defirmation was rejected, and babies were bathed in wine to assess their vigor. Those who becamevill were cast out. It was the Spartan way. Peasants (hoplites) sometimes saved a few to raise as their owmn, but if the baby grew up looking too much like one of the warrior elite (sunce they were secretly that warriir's cast out child...) the hoplite family was killed for stealing the child. Rather perverse by modern standards, but we are decidedly not Spartans.
I think the extreme one there is just trying to rile you in a rather trollish fashion. Odin is narcissistic, which a king would be, as Thor is. But he didn't break into Laufi's nursery to steal the crown-prince. There was no need as Asgard held the ark and its contents. Without it Jutenheim could not raise the forces to threaten other Realms. And what kind of ruler would Laufi be if he was so unable to mount a defense that he son was taken from his very crib? His own subjects wouod have deposed a ruler so incedibly inept as to let his baby be taken from his own stronghold.
This is still my favorite thor movie i love the shakespearean family drama aspects of this film its a film about brothers and fathers and sons lokis whole motivation is just to provevto his father that he is worthy to be his son its really heartbreaking
Thank you, ladies, for sharing your reaction to "Thor." This was my favorite comic book superhero when I was a boy, because unlike with others, the writers didn't offer lame pseudoscientific explanations for what he could do.
Thanks so much for watching with us!
Really enjoying your reactions! And outfits.
Thank you so much 😌❤️🎬
This is one of my favorite MCU movies ever!
They are! ♥️
The character in the scene where Thor tries to pick up the hammer, the one up in the bucket in the air, is Hawkeye. Remember this is where he first appeared.
One to remember, if Loki is speaking, Loki is lying, without fail, it’s in his nature.
Hopefully you remember Agent Coulson, of S.H.I.E.L.D, from Iron Man. You might consider adding in the “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” series, at least the first few seasons, to fill in some of the gaps chronologically. I can’t remember where they insert themselves, it was after Avengers in the timeline, I just can’t remember where.
No one ever comments on something that always makes me chuckle, he calls Phil Coulson "son of Coul" because that's how naming is in Asgard, as his father is Odin and he is Thor Odinsson. Not a big thing but its just a small comment I've never really seen anyone else mention!
RIp Volstaag aka Ray Stevenson was a great actor.
Firstly soundtrack of this film is one the best in MCU's Secondly, the vibe of this film is completely different. This was before Disney made aquisition of Marvel. Director Kenneth Branagh is famous for Shakesparean lover. Who has acted and directed many Shakesparean films. Tom Hiddleston and Anthony Hopkins are classically trained Shakesparean thespians. I like this.
Odin might be a little strict but everything he does he does for a reason, like stealing the baby, raising a baby as Thor's brother, making him believe he could be king, so that he goes crazy with jealousy and becomes his life long enemy.
Yes that may be true, 😁 but at least i have a father
@@RyanBird24 OHHHHHH BURN
@@RyanBird24 Fathers are sperm-donors, not exactly a flex there little boy.
A SELFISH REASON, dude's a narcissist.
Loki is god of mischieves
Couldn't agree more haha 😂
@ 16:24 - - The name tag on the shirt - Dr. Donald Blake - Thor's pseudonym on Earth while exiled (in the comics) .
18:45 Poor choice of words there, Jane... you might wanna rethink that🙃
I’m sorry but I’m only here for my faves! Always happy to see Hannah and Tory😊
Always happy to see you join us😊
The Bifrost is a worm hole.
The State of Nebraska put the god Thor on their 2023 license plates.
Although it is true here Loki did not want a throne, in fact he wanted to be worthy of his (adopted) father, who was Odin, it is a very good story about Loki, I am not going to give spoilers but Loki is a very main character in it. UCM right now, confirmed antihero
I was honestly pretty shocked when I saw this in theaters, the credits rolled, and I saw that Kevin Branagh directed this.
Thor is so good he is my second favorite Avenger
Same! Iron Man is my first. Who is yours? 😊
@@toy4871 Captain America is mine 😄

Thanks so much for watching with us! 😺
If Thor doesn't hold back, he'd beat Iron Man in a fight
Fun Fact: Thor (2011) is the first MCU Movie where Tony Stark does “NOT” make a physical appearance.
Thor would absolutely demolish Ironman if he wanted too
There are nine realms linked by Yggdrasil the World Tree and accessible via The Bifrost or Rainbow Bridge. Asgard, Vanaheim, Alfheim, Svartalfheim (Nidavelir) Jotunheim, Muspelheim, Midgard (Earth), Niflheim and Helheim (Hel).
Asgard is the abode of the Norse Gods: Odin, Frigga, Thor, Heimdall, etc
Alfheim is the abode of the light elves.
Svartelfheim is the home of the dark elves.
Jotunheim is the home of the Frost Giants
Muspelheim is the home of the fire demon Surtur.
Midgard is the home of humans.
Vanaheim is the home of the Vanir.
Helheim is the dwelling place of Hela goddess of death.
Niflheim is a barren world of ice and frost with no living creatures in it. 😢
Mjolnir is Thor's magic hammer. Crafted from the mystical metal Uru and enchanted to always return to it's wielders hand. Only those who are worthy and noble of heart can pick it up.
Poor Ray Stevenson is no longer with us, he played the funny big guy who eats a lot... famous dude, has done so many roles in Holywood both tv and film, his last role was on Ashoka on disney..
You asked what’s with Loki. Loki is the God of Mischief girls.
HERE, HOLD MY BEER WHILE I LIFT MJOLNIR !!! Loved your reactions to this film Hannah & Tori. With the introductions of Thor & Hawkeye, the expansion of the MCU towards the ENDGAME will make it so much spectacular. Keep it going you two !!!
That guy was the writer J. Michael Straczynski!! 😂🤣

Where the heart is. My favorite Nat movie.
If you're into Spielberg movies , you should try out " Empire Of The Sun ". A great movie !! 🤙🤙👌👌
RIP Ray Stevenson, every role he took was full force.
I have loved Ray Stevenson since I saw him as Titus Pullo in Rome. I will miss him so much.
lol as far as Loki is concerned, the only rule I know about him is this: whatever you think about him, is wrong.
Which means you're wrong by default.
Thanks for the video!! See you later!! Stay safe.😊
Thank you, as Always!
Thank you so much 😌❤️🎬
In Norse mythology, Heimdall is referred to as "The whitest of all the gods", peculiar since the old Norse would have not ventured so far as Africa to ever.see a black human. It would have bern too warm that far south for Vikings. Naturally, Idris Elba slays. Heimdall has sursnatural hearing and vision, able to see all and hear all he widhes to, throughout the 9 realms
12:48 Odin's snarl when Loki is about to speak up was an ad-lib. Hiddleston played off it beautifully with a visible motion of submission.
Hi Hannah and Tori I know you like action movies but would consider delving into some Stephen King movies for a little change of pace?
Perhaps. It depends on what folks recommend. We tally up recommendations to see what people want us to watch.
Guillermo Del Toro was going to direct a darker, more violent adaptation of the character, making it more closely resemble the Norse mythology of Thor and Valhalla.
What happened to Thor is what happened to every soul on Earth ,.. I believe.
Will you watch the Incredible Hulk?
I actually really like that movie, and i feel like the more to the MCU the more that movie is relevant to the overall story
We've seen it before, so there can't be a first time reaction. There's going to be plenty of Hulk and Bruce Banner in future movies. We already recorded reactions to Captain America and The Avengers. 😺
Thank you!
Who would win in a fight tween Thor and Iron Man? Tricky. iron Man suits are constantly being redesigned and upgraded, but I feel like Thor has more intrinsic stamina. Ultimately the suits will be worn away, but Asgardian goes bone-deep.
Actually, if thor stops holding back, he can easily finish ironman, just like in the movies
He had to destroy the bridge to save the frost giant race, duh.

Let's f'ing gooooo!!! 💪😎💪 Great movie! 😁
I took a (ex-)girlfriend too see this in the theatre. It was PACKED! MCU was very much in full swing :)
It was dead quiet, and they are all sitting around in that dinner and shirtless mf'ing Hemsworth walks on screen ... Every woman in that theatre all involuntarily did a sharp inhale. Including the one I brought who was sitting next to me 😅🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
KITTY!!!! 💘🐱💗🥰🥰
RiP Ray Stevenson 😢😢
A few months ago we (Hannah, Toy, and Max) were watching a UA-cam video. When it ended, one of the suggested video tiles had something to do with Thor Love and Thunder, with shirtless Chris Hemsworth. You could hear Toy's breathing change. In the full length Patreon version of this reaction, when there's no sound of the movie, you can also hear Tori's breathing change when Thor first appears on screen. 😁

Ah' the good old MCU its a long series, It would be nice if you started the TOU as in the Toho Showa Universe which is also a very long movies series.
Half of that series alone is just Godzilla films while the other half is about other giant monsters and aliens which all take place in the timeline' feel free to let me know if you wish for me to write out the entire series or at least the tie in films, since those ones might be a little bit harder to figure for some of them!
But I know which is which I've seen them all, heck I own them all too' including the super rare English subtitled version of the Zone Fighter (1973) tv series which Godzilla shows up a number of times within that show.
Thor would kick Iron Man's ass easily.
Honestly, Loki doesn't even know what's going on with Loki.
I couldn't agree more 😂
Thor’s face looks just a little off in this one because they coloured Chris Hemsworth’s eyebrows. The rest he looks more normal.
You have a beeyootiful kitty 😺 :)
Thank you! Boo is the star of our show! 😺

Thor is a God ma'am not human like Iron man don't compare because Thor is beyond
Do you know the movie "Brazil" ? It's a master piece. I recommand it to you.
Yesss I love it!!! Such a great movie
As a actual Norse pagan the way they betrayed Thor is very similar to the actual Thor
An oaf 😂
nah nah nah
Thor would kick Iron Man’s butt, especially if they were both in their most powerful forms, Rune King Thor & Godkiller Iron Man.
The Godkiller can fight on even grounds with Celestials, so could standard Thor. Rune King Thor is way more powerful.
Thor would kick Ironman's butt into a mudhole and kick it dry.
Thor, Odin and Loki is all about the ancient Norse (Viking/Norwegian) gods , just like Zeus, Hercules and so on were the ancient Greek gods. It takes stuff from the myths, but is not exactly the old stories. Loki gets a raw deal all the time. In myth, he is the god of trickery and mischief, but not necessarily evil. He gets things done, but his ways were not appreciated in the warrior culture.
Hi kitty :)
😺♥️
I forgot i enjoyed legs
Thor'd stomp Iron Man in a fight...( He's put Tony in his place a few times in Marvel Comics History!!) 19:30..No acting on Portman's part..I've seen enough of Hemsworth meeting fans on utube to know he's a babe magnet..27:04..Get the son of Odin drunk off our weak beer compared to Asgardian Mead?! Bah!! The images you saw of Asgard were straight from the mind of Marvel artist Jack "The King" Kirby..The palace, Rainbow bridge, Joutenheim, as well as the characters Sif and the warriors 3. (he drew the first 80 issues from '63 to 68)
I like Kenneth Branagh's style of directing. THOR followed by 2015's Cinderella both hit a sweet spot. No director or actor can rise above bad writing, but it shows when they try. I also enjoyed his portrayal of Defense against the Dark Arts teacher Gilderoy Lockhart. So yeah - I'm good with this Marvel entry.
Well ladies, meet another arrogant MCU character. You've already met Tony Stark😅
I wonder if you'll meet any other 😂
Thor is many many times more powerful. He was taking it easy when he fought iron man.
That was not confirmed by anyone outside of Thor fans.
Thor would decimate iron man sorry ladies lol....hes a demigod
Loki was abandoned, and nearly killed by, the Frost Giants. Thus, he hates them. His adopted father wouldn't give Loki the throne because he wanted to give it to Thor, his natural child. I believe it had nothing to do with race, but Loki thinks it is. Thus, he is angry and resentful of the 'slight' Odin gave him by seeing him as 'second best'. He is jealous of Thor and angry that Thor was given everything freely, but Loki worked hard for everything and got nothing. Loki is one of the most in depth, complicated characters of the MCU, ad I love him for that. He is my favorite out of all heroes and villains. Loki is both and neither. This movie really showcases the complexity of Loki 9who is straight out of mythology.)
You're absolutely right. Such a great character and a wonderful performance by Tom Hiddleston.
BS. That is crap that Odin shovels. Never believe a narcissist. There's no such thing as an ADOPTED FATHER when the term "father" is BIOLOGICAL and he wasn't adopted, he was kidnapped. The throne automatically goes to the oldest, math-whiz, that has nothing to do with it (and as we know, Thor ain't even the oldest, so where's your argument now?). The fact is that Odin raised kids to put THEM IN DIRECT COMPETITION WITH EACH OTHER. "Only one of you can ascent to the Throne, but both of you were born to be Kings" - that was a direct set-up. It had EVERYTHING to do with RACE and the fact that he'd been lied to his entire life, plus he was treated like an invisible kid from this prick.
The "slight" was from Thor to Odin, the narcissist that casts his own son out for BEING EXACTLY LIKE HIM. You're right in only one way, Thor was GIVEN EVERYTHING and he's still an arrogant, entitled prig, just like Odin. Thor is the Golden Child of a Malignant Narcissist. If you "loved" Loki so much, one would think you'd understand him better, yet it sounds like you're trying to play both sides and failing at both.
is a antihero
Did yall skip Hulk? I've been behind on watching because of work. Now I don't even want to.
We've seen it before, so there's no first time reaction to that movie.
Thor would decimate Iron Man.
Please consider adding the Norwegian TV series - Ragnorak seasons 1- 2 to your watch lists. It's very enjoyable! 😊👍
Thanks for the recommendation!
The Marvel Cinematic Universe/Marvel Movies and Marvel comics/616 are separate continuities.
616/Comics Thor is way more powerful than Movie Thor,
Comics Thor is one of the most ridiculously powerful characters in Marvel comics to give you a good idea of how powerful comic Thor is here's some his feats from the Comics
Destroyed a planet with a single blow.
Threw a planet out of orbit by arm wrestling Hercules.
Lifted the World Serpent Jormungandr who was wrapped around the plaent earth.
Broke free from the gravitational weight of 20 plenets.
Closing a Dimensional rift by punching it.
Yeah Movie Thor is really nerfed.
Theses guys are airheads😂
