I bought this bike in November 2024..it's a beast. 200 miles later I love this bike, powerful and well built..I love the triple butted frame, UL listening, Waterproof, firesafe. The brake lights and turn signals are great safety features..
Love watching your detailed reviews. Have you considered reviewing the Aima Santa Monica as a comparison? I test rode all three Aima models and was impressed with the overall quality of the bikes. The Velotric looks like a great choice too.
Thanks! We have not seen the Aima models yet but i took a look and they have some nice models as well, hopefully we can get some our way to share with you!
Velotric Discover 2 is a beast , I bought mine in November 2024. Lectric makes good ebikes but there is no comparison between Velotric, Velotric is far superior
Is there a way to secure the bike, of course in combination with an actual lock? Like on my Lectric you need the key to start, and the Lectric xpress you can power down the battery and lock it up so no one can turn it on without the keys to unlock the battery to turn the battery on. I was wondering if the discover 2 has some type of locking feature, as I understand the key is just to simply remove the battery.
Great question! Yes, you can set a pin code (your own specific code) to lock the bike for use. Also, this bike has App connectivity that syncs with Apple Find My technology allowing you to track the bike in the event it was stolen. Between these two options and then using a bike lock, you have 3 solid theft prevention measures. Hope that helps! - Mike
Thank you so much Mike, you just completed my sale! I have a local dealer that sells them and the will honor any warranty work needed, which would be minimal, also a small fee of 149 they will assemble and tune the bike for me. Not a bad deal.
My Rad bike has just died on me. No obvious cause. I’m in Europe too so no dealership to fall back on. Spares will cost a fortune to ship over the atlantic even if I knew which spares to order. Electric bikes are great right up until the moment they inexplicably stop working. Think hard before getting one, or at least avoid mail-order bikes and buy locally.

Im interested in this ebike but I've seen the the Lectric commuter. Would like a comparison. Leaning more towards the Velotric.

@@ElectricBikeReview LOL no worries! I blame the lawn maintenance companies anyway. 😁

Have you thought about reviewing the Fiido brand? Mainly the Air, C22, or C21? 🤔
I haven't got my hands on one yet but if we do, ill be sure to post it here! - Mike
