Mine is RT-AX56U. it has been 2 years. the drop-out (i.e. either cannot connect to the router or connected but no internet) happens more and more frequently, once 2 weeks. firmware upgrade won't help. restart or re-apply settings helped but recently won't help. reset button is the last solution.

Just the fact you can get 500mbbps for home wifi is crazy to me, her in Australia the max we get is about 80-100 Mbps

I bought one of these but returned it. I flashed OpenWRT on it and failed to squeeze more than 300Mbps out of it on wireless. As a dumb AP with proprietary firmware it did better but I need to run Openwrt for my use case. It’s not strong enough to do serious routing work and provide strong wireless performance at the same time, unfortunately. In the end I used a CM4 with a dfrobot router carrier board and an Archer AX10 I already had at hand as dumb AP, even that can only carry around 600mbps.

On iPhone X and iPad pro M1, I only get 50% max of what my isp offered using this router. On android and windows laptop I got full speed of 300Mbps, just like my ISP offered.
