The Farne Islands, Northumberland, July 2024

The Farne Islands are a small archipelago off the coast of Northumberland.
During the breeding season, they are an assault on the senses with the amount of seabirds that set up territory on the precipitous rocky outcrop.
Our first trip to this bird and seal haven was quite overwhelming and very moving. So much to see, including Fulmar, Gannet, Guillemot, Razorbill, Puffin, Arctic and Common Tern, Shag and Cormorant and Grey and Common Seal.
Well worth a visit and hopefully in time we will return.
