A lot of other genres too
I was married at 17, had my first child at 18 and by 22 I should have had 5 children but 2 never lived. All I wanted was a house full of babies but I couldn’t do it and live. I got my babies by adopting and fostering, all 50 of them. They all went to private schools and I made some amazing adults. It wasn’t sad that I knew what I wanted and every single child I tried to have was planned. I did not let any child of mine marry that early because they were never as old as I was at 17. I had already raised 5 younger siblings and I started at 4 years old. My marriage? It will be our 54th anniversary on July 3rd. It isn’t unfortunate for some to have a family early.

You were pointing to a PEDAL STEEL GUITAR on that musician's lap. You should review more Loretta. Ex., "You're The Reason Our Kids Are Ugly". Good work.
Try Fist City and PILL (she sang about birth control almost as soon as it was approved!) Loretta married at 14 and had six kids. She was married to Dew Lynn for over 50 years and recorded “I Miss Being a Mrs Tonight” after her passed. Loretta was a country Queen! Her duets with Conway Twitty are legendary. She passed in 2023.
Sissy Spacek did a wonderful portrayal of Loretta Lynn in the movie Coal Miner's Daughter which is the story of Loretta's life. It is a must watch for you at this point. One interesting note about the movie, the singing in the movie is done by Sissy Spacek. She spent days with Loretta at her home studio to "get it right." I heard an awesome story about how Sissy was downstairs in the studio practicing and Loretta's manager came in the house calling out for Loretta and saying how good she was sounding that day when it was Sissy that was singing. Her own manager couldn't tell that it wasn't Loretta!
Loretta Lynn was 1 of the ladies of country music. Several of her songs were banned from the country radio stations because of what they are about. Some of those songs are: The Pill Fist City You are not Woman enough to take my Man Loretta Lynn was friends with Kid Rock, Dolly Parton, Reba McIntyre, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, and many other artists. Loretta was a part of the outlaw country music with some of her songs. In August of 2020 Loretta and Kid Rock played a joke on their fans by making them think they got married over the weekend. On August 31 2020 Loretta set the record straight that she and Kid Rock didn't actually get married. Loretta was a coal miners daughter. She grew up poor. She was from Kentucky. Her father worked in the Banner coal mines and died from a lung condition that killed coal miners quite often. That condition was called black lung. Black Lung is from breathing in coal dust.
Back in the day .... Yes, there was no internet but there was "the neighborhood" & thing called gossip which was the human internet. LOL!! Trust me people knew who was boot scooting with someone else's significant other back then, even if they were the last to know, it eventually got around. 👍😎👍 If you get a chance watch Loretta's story in the movie "Coal Miner's Daughter", it's old but every generation should see it & be inspired. Highly recommend it!!
One of my most memorable nights was the night I met Loretta Lynn. I was in college in the late '70's in St. Louis and she was appearing at the now-defunct Keil Auditorium, a huge arena and concert hall. My friend, who the previous summer was Ms. Lynn's dresser (an intern position), during her concert tour, had an extra ticket and invited me to go with her. When we arrived, Loretta's famous purple bus was in the parking lot and we got to go on it. Conway Twitty was the opening act and did his entire set in front of the curtain, making the actual stage area part of the backstage. Next thing I know we were sitting behind the curtain playing poker with Loretta's band. After Loretta sang to I don't remember how many thousand people, keeping them all in the palm of her hand, she stood downstage center and signed everyone's autographs as they lined up and approached her. My friend and I stood at her side onstage while she talked to us. We were theater and music majors and she was giving priceless advice about the business of show buiness to us. We said goodbye and started to leave because we didn't want to infringe too much, but she grabbed my friend by the arm and said, "Where you two think you're goin'? You're not leaving me up here all by myself are ya?" I remember my friend mentioned she couldn't wait to graduate from college, and Loretta said, "You just hold tight and you'll be outa there before you know it, wishin' you was back in it." I've met a lot of celebrities in my career but that was and always will be one of my most treasured memories.
She was literally a coal miner's daughter. She passed away at 90 I believe. I highly recommend you watch the movie "Coal Miners Daughter". The director and producer did a pretty stand up job with the story line in the movie. PLUS, check out her Sister, Crystal Gayle. She was/is another grat singer. Different style of country music, but still very popular in her time. Also, famous for her LONG!! hair. At one point her hair reached her feet.
Do not mess with Loretta. The Coal Miner's Daughter.. She made many a song about standing up for women. Her Husband was a player.. married her Loretta when she was 13 yrs old.. he was in his 20's.. this is back in the day in the Holler... Loretta made a killing off songs from her life. but she was a feisty biotch.. She was with him till the day HE died.. she didn't have to be.. she was making the money.. but she was raised to love her man and she knew Mooney loved her
Miss Loretta Lynn was.... unhappily... and infamously... married to the same man for 50 years. Oliver Lynn. Many of her songs are based around this marriage. This is just one of them.
Loretta was radical 60 years ago....she sang about women's rights, birth control, infidelity at a time when people just did not put it out there. Hollywood tried to treat her like she was an idiot. She was uneducated, but smart as a whip. She had a very hard life...4 kids by the time she was 18. Married at 13 or 14. You need to WATCH Coal Miners Daughter. Great movie.
There’s a movie about the life of Loretta Lynn. It’s really good. Her life was unbelievable, drastic and extreme events and changes. It’s called Coal Miner’s Daughter.
She wrote most of her songs based on her life experiences. Her husband tried to be a player, but Loretta wasn't having it! That instrument that you were questioning is a steel guitar.
Loretta was a certified badass mammajamma. And if you’ve never seen the biopic Coal Miner’s Daughter, it is a MUST. It’s 40+ years old but still a treasure.
She is a country icon. I've been to her house a few times in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. She had a couple more songs along these lines, Don't Come Home A Drink'in and Fist City.
Loretta was the queen of country. There is a movie called Coal Miner's Daughter. It is a biographical film about loretta's life. Big time movie Sissy Spacek played Loretta, Tommy Lee Jones played her husband and the great Levon Helms (drummer, lead singer and played several other instruments as well as being a songwriter) from the band known as The Band played her father. She has another song with a similiar message to this one called Fist City. Oh by the way guys that instrument is a steel or peddle steel guitar.
Lorretta wrote all of her own songs based on personal experiences, so we know what this one was about. 😅 She passed away in Oct 2022...she was 90 yrs old. Yes, she sang with Jonny Cash, and others. In case you're interested, there's an excellent movie (1980) of the story of her (hard) life called, "Coal Miner's Daughter". Sissy Specek played Loretta and did all of the singing. (who knew she could sing?) and won the Academy Award for best actress. The movie was also nominated for best picture, best cinematography, best screeplay and best production design. Lorretta was always a colourful woman in the country music world. I didn't like country music, but I enjoyed this movie very much. Thank you for your reaction.
Loretta was playing a show...and she spotted the woman that was the inspiration for this song....she jumped off the stage and threw punches on her before getting back on stage to finish off her set!
Watch her biopic- Coal Miner’s Daughter- starring the amazing Cissy Spacek as Loretta. Perfection. She got married at 14 and had a ton of kids before she had her big break. She wrote all her own songs.
As a Southern woman I would react the same way. I’m 62 and love all music. Loretta sounds like home. Listen to “The Pill” which caused a LOT of drama when she released it. Lolol
Unfortunately Loretta Lynn passed away at the age of 90 October 4th 2022 in her sleep at home. She had some of the most incredible songs that any singer has ever sung and I would encourage you just to go through many of her songs. The song Coal Miner's Daughter is about her father and some of her upbringing as a little girl if my memory serves me correctly. One of her sisters that is still living is called Crystal Gayle who was also an incredible country music singer for many years. Check out some of her songs because she has a beautiful voice too. They were using a slide guitar in this song in case you were wondering if that is what it's called. That is one of my favorite all-time Musical instruments.
Loretta Lynn, the queen of country music the matriarch of country music meaning she was the longest living grand old Opry member with over a 60 year career
The Queen of Country Music 🎶 the great Loretta Lynn! Loretta wrote her songs, most based on her life experiences. She was a consummate performer, a true professional entertainer. She got a lot of her first exposure by being featured with E. T. known as Ernest Tubb with his Texas Troubadours, she did many duets and performed with Conway Twitty. I had the honor of opening for Loretta several times several times as a young girl in Chicago back in the early 90’s. This was around the time her movie about her life was first out and called Coalminers Daughter and it’s an awesome movie to boot! It’s a real story about a real woman, her life and her rise to fame. She was a best friend of the legendary Patsy Cline and if you haven’t listened to her, you really really should - amazing voice, amazing person just like Loretta. Loretta would talk to you while standing in the wings, what you saw was what you got, not a bone of pretense in her body, a lovely soul. Sadly she has passed on I believe in 2023. I cried because it was close to my heart as she is a Kentuckian and my dad was too. My dad was Cal Starr, he booked Loretta many times through the years and brought her wonderful spirit and music to many happy Chicagoans! I remember once backstage she would see my dad throw her arms up and say there’s my favorite booking agent! And they would hug, I think it was a Kentucky thing! There is much more to Loretta and all the people she touched with her music, thank you for covering her, I hope you will visit her greatest hits and some of her duets with Conway - great music - I enjoyed your presentation, thank you! Kind regards, Lori London
Coal Miner's Daughter is the true story of her childhood. The movie is well worth watching. Tommy Lee Jones plays her husband Mooney Lynn and Levon Helm, drumner for The Band, plays her father.
you should research Loretta, you have NO idea just how ahead of her time she was. She is a LEGEND & probably THE most respected woman in country music EVER!
The steel guitar player here is the late great Don Helms who was Hank Williams steel guitarist in the "The Drifting Cowboys"....he was one of Nashvilles great musicians....
I've been a Loretta fan since the day I was born. My mommy played Loretta's songs all the time, and I'm still playing them 60 yrs later. I literally mourned mourned her passing for weeks, so love to see her live on to the younger generations thru her music.

So glad you found Loretta!!! The Queen and original bad ass!!! She's had the most banned songs by anyone artist! All her songs are based on her own life experiences. Check out Ones on the way, Rated x, and the Pill!

Allot of her songs were based on her life experiences. If you want to know more about her, I recommend the bio-pic "Coal Miner's Daughter" with Sissy Spacek. Sissy won the Oscar that year for Best Actress for her portrayal of Loretta Lynn. Tommy Lee Jones play Loretta's husband.

One thing was for sure about Loretta she spoke her mind and that's damn sure thing. She was amazing. Never be another like her.
She did alot of duets with Conway Twitty. She died last year was in her 90s.she was in the hall of fame as 1 of the Queens of country music.
Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette and Dolly Parton were queens when I was growing up.
Don't forget Dottie West. She was Country Barbie for a lot of us little girls at the time.
Watch Coal miners daughter. It explains a lot about this queen of country. Listen to the pill she sang this when birth control first came out. Its a hoot! Louisiana woman Mississippi man it a fantastic one with Conway Twitty.
"Over my dead body" was a very common phrase back in the 40's - 60"s
Coal Miners Daughter was a musical biography of her life. She was singing her life.
I grew up on Loretta. My Momma loved her. Loretta stood up and sang the truth of what so many women wanted to say. Please watch the movie, preferably with a reaction, promise u won’t regret it. Another song I love is called “Fist City” yep u heard right. Straight Gangsta lol
You were pointing to a PEDAL STEEL GUITAR on that musician's lap. You should review more Loretta. Ex., "You're The Reason Our Kids Are Ugly". Good work.
Boys now you diving. This is an iconic oldie in country
She is the queen of country!!!
One of the first ladies of country music.
Try Fist City and PILL (she sang about birth control almost as soon as it was approved!)
Loretta married at 14 and had six kids.
Some of those songs are:
The Pill
Fist City
You are not Woman enough to take my Man
Loretta Lynn was friends with Kid Rock, Dolly Parton, Reba McIntyre, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, and many other artists.
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing your experience ❤
Love seeing you guys diving into the history of music I must say. Love the reaction to it and comparing it to your norm. Lol wish you guys a great day
I love him, BrittReacts and a guy named Polo that all do this same stuff so check those channels out, too!
I love that you are a Loretta stan❤
She was literally a coal miner's daughter. She passed away at 90 I believe. I highly recommend you watch the movie "Coal Miners Daughter". The director and producer did a pretty stand up job with the story line in the movie. PLUS, check out her Sister, Crystal Gayle. She was/is another grat singer. Different style of country music, but still very popular in her time. Also, famous for her LONG!! hair. At one point her hair reached her feet.
All sang with a sweet smile on her face. I was raised by a true Southern Belle. We got venom in our smiles.
She was with him till the day HE died.. she didn't have to be.. she was making the money.. but she was raised to love her man and she knew Mooney loved her
Loretta Lynn and Conway twitty sing a song… it’s old now.. but it’s amazing… GOD bless America again… if you don’t react just listen to it
Loretta wrote about her life. True experience
Miss Loretta Lynn was.... unhappily... and infamously... married to the same man for 50 years. Oliver Lynn. Many of her songs are based around this marriage. This is just one of them.
❤ seen in concert and met in person sweet LADY and my parents loved her, had albums ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Loretta Lynn last album was in 2021 and she passed away in 2022 at the age of ninety.
Her most controversial song, at the time, was called “The Pill”.
Honestly, there is No one who hasn’t heard of Loretta….seriously? Coal Miners Daughter is one of the best movies in history, and so is Loretta!
You would love "Fist City"!
Thank you for your reaction. I hope you react to Loretta Lynn Fist City too. 🙂
Lorretta wrote all of her own songs based on personal experiences, so we know what this one was about. 😅
She passed away in Oct 2022...she was 90 yrs old.
Loretta Lynn was STANDING ON BUSINESS!
Her granddaughter was on this year’s American Idol. Looks just like her, amazing voice.
“Women like you are a dime a dozen” is a fantastic line!
straight roast!! LOL love it
As a Southern woman I would react the same way. I’m 62 and love all music. Loretta sounds like home. Listen to “The Pill” which caused a LOT of drama when she released it. Lolol
I absolutely love LL,,, she was always proud to be part Cherokee and sang about it. Your squaw is on the warpath... And red, white and blue.
This is a woman’s anthem for sure. She is amazing- thanks for reacting to this!
She's pure country. She also sang Fist City.
Kind regards,
Lori London
Every thing you said..Amen !!!
Coal Miner's Daughter was a movie of Lynn's life. Beautiful movie. ❤
Coal Miner's Daughter is the true story of her childhood. The movie is well worth watching. Tommy Lee Jones plays her husband Mooney Lynn and Levon Helm, drumner for The Band, plays her father.
"Fist City" is another one from her that I think you would be able to appreciate. She did SO many great ones solo and with Conway Twitty.
you should research Loretta, you have NO idea just how ahead of her time she was. She is a LEGEND & probably THE most respected woman in country music EVER!
Wow, I didn't know there were people out there who didn't know who Loretta Lynn was, she was the queen of country.
Man there are so many great classic country songs. Some of the best writing.
This is 100% my favorite of her songs ! And I love a lot of them . Forever list .
The steel guitar player here is the late great Don Helms who was Hank Williams steel guitarist in the "The Drifting Cowboys"....he was one of Nashvilles great musicians....
I have always loved the sound of a steel guitar!
@@luanneaydelotte8366 me too....
I've been a Loretta fan since the day I was born. My mommy played Loretta's songs all the time, and I'm still playing them 60 yrs later. I literally mourned mourned her passing for weeks, so love to see her live on to the younger generations thru her music.
Mad respect for one of the queens of country.
You have Miss. Loretta - such original nothing fancy speaks to everyone real music. Then her sister, Crystal Gayle. Much more refined speaks more to "upper crust" but beautiful as well. Just different from each other.
She was so talented. Love Loretta Lynn.
Watch her movie Coal Miners Daughter. Sissy Spacek plays Loretta Lynn. Good movie. And Loretta and patsy cline were best friends until pasty got killed in a plane crash.
So glad you found Loretta!!! The Queen and original bad ass!!! She's had the most banned songs by anyone artist! All her songs are based on her own life experiences. Check out Ones on the way, Rated x, and the Pill!
This was such a banger in the Country community, and both my parents loved Loretta Lynn, so I grew up hearing a lot of her music, and although, not my general genre of music, but love her!!! Side note: This song always reminds me of another strong female song, called, These Boots are Made for Walking, by Nancy Sinatra, you guys may want to check out 😊
Allot of her songs were based on her life experiences. If you want to know more about her, I recommend the bio-pic "Coal Miner's Daughter" with Sissy Spacek. Sissy won the Oscar that year for Best Actress for her portrayal of Loretta Lynn. Tommy Lee Jones play Loretta's husband.
Many years since I’ve heard this song!
Oh, how wonderful!
