- On Friday, Aug. 12, 2022, two Edmond police officers were dispatched to the Edmond Church of Christ in reference to a man experiencing homelessness.
After being told by Edmond police that he was no longer welcome in the city, the man was arrested for public intoxication, and charges were filed in Oklahoma County District Court. (This video was uploaded to UA-cam as part of NonDoc's coverage of how homelessness is policed in Edmond, Oklahoma.)
What were the arresting officer's names?? Is that part of the public record?
Standard EPD call. Looks like good cops doing thier job. What’s the issue?
Somehow, I'm certain if it was explained to you in a full semester course, neither you or these two "police" would ever know "the issue". But they'll all sit around at the donut shops scratching their heads for the next 30 years~~
"Why do large segments of the general public not like us??". "Gee Officer Billy Bob, you got 500 unclosed rape cases, 400 unclosed missing children cases, You can't do anything to the child abusing Dad, but you can have his wife sit in prison for 30 years for being 'too slow' to report the ABUSER themselves.......but you sure did 'show' that homeless guy who's boss, didn't you?? I have no idea why they hate you Officer Billy Bob."
