What a joy to watch! The gliding half an inch off the ground (15:45) and so stable - that was a magic moment! 🪄😁 Great presentation as always, Adam and Heidi!
Hello Heidi and Adam, very nice display of the Habu SS capabilities. The fact that with no flaps servos and gear remove the wing loading is light. Your video showing how much you were enjoying the aircraft. Cheers!
I had this bird until I crashed it in low light conditions (lost orientation). Really glides and great intro to EDFs. Retracts would have made it perfect. I ran it on 6s 4000 at one point. Did make it heavy and need a lot of runway for glide path approach (use reverse thrust is essential to stop it once on the ground). Flaps would have been preferable. All in all it’s a really good jet but absence of landing gear, flaps and LEDs meant I felt like the FMS Viper 70 is better VFM
I get why a lot of folks want all the bells and whistles, but the absence of them on this one is exactly the point of it. Its much less expensive, has less to "break" on bad landings, and less to manage for a more timid first time EDF pilot...yet plenty of capability to teach them more advanced aerobatics later. There are plenty full featured, more expensive EDF's that could make a good first one for more confident pilots with a bigger budget.
Looks really nice with manners and ability. Even though I mainly use Crossfire and ELRS on my better models, if I was buying this, I'd absolutely use the BNF because that nonchalant hand launch was epic! I'd never be flying it gear on so the hand launch aspect is vital to me. My only EDF atm is a HK Stinger 64 which tries to kill itself on hand launches but looks stupid and rolls forever on its gear. I almost never fly it and any replacement has to be significantly better.
Trying to decide between the 50 and the 70 mm. Ill probably be hand launching more often than not. I like the price of the 50 and the flight time of the 70. I am no expert pilot. Suggestions?
Hey Adam, this isn't really about this plane but I remember watching your videos and you talk about a way to bind in safe mode that you can get more deflection.. at least I'm pretty sure it was on your channel that I saw it. I was trying to look for a way to message you or email you but I couldn't find one
Hey John, if you look in the "about" section of our YT channel you can get the email there. I'd link it here, but every time I try to YT won't allow the comment?? So anyway, you get more deflection in AS3X mode. SAFE actually limits the deflection. You should be able to see if you hold full up elevator and flip between the two you'll get more in AS3X mode.
This will probably be on my short list, when I get the EDF bug. But, if wearing a "sexy hat", like yours, is a requirement for flying EDF's, I might just stick with the 1.2m Eflite warbirds for a little bit longer. No offense 😊 👍
Al not everybody can rock a sexy hat like that. I'm special...at least that is what my mamma said. She was kinda sarcastic though...so she may have been kidding.
@@ModelAV8RChannel You and I had similar Mommas, then 😂 BTW- Heidi deserves another Atta-gurl for keeping this one in frame and in focus- not to mention what she puts up with from the likes of you 👍
Hi Adam I started with the 50mm habu and moved to the 70mm had many flights on it fun edf, Did you pay Heidi extra for chasing that jet around lol😊 good video you can't go wrong with this edf 😀👍👍👍👍
That's such a great flying airframe. You could actually get started with this jet and probably succeed too.
It is, some could for sure.
Hello, "Model AV8R"! Thank you for showing us such a great video! I feel very happy! I'm looking forward to your next work! Have a nice day!
Thank you very much! You too!

Thanks very much! Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks Rommel! Surprised me just how good it is!
Good demo of how to turn & burn with the Habu! So zippy - that it looked like Heidi had a challenge keeping up with it some of the time. Well done!
Thanks! It was a surprisingly capable jet...and very easy to fly all things considered. Heidi was on thankfully...lol.
Habu is an excellent plane as you have demonstrated.
It is Ruby!
Thats an impressive plane Adam. You're right, its a perfect fun EDF for all pilots... Eflite did a nice job on this one..
They did man. So much better than I thought it would be!
Epic flying as usual Adam, always a pleasure to watch. Fun bird as well. 🫡
Thanks Chris, it is a really versatile jet.
Top of the class pilot & camera girl. Always look forward to the special flight offerings from the AV8R team.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟ps . Love the hat!!
I rock that hat don't I...lol.
A want to see a UMX 30mm Habu. Habu's rock!
Yes and yes!
That's what I'm hoping for, they already have the 30mm 4S power system in the F-86!
What a fab EDF Jet Adam, I will have to think about getting one!! Great review both 😀👍
Great flyer Ian, you'd enjoy it I think. Thanks!
It's a great sport jet for sure 👍
Great flight times for this one. Good stuff Adam 👍👍
Yes sir, thanks man!
Adam great review and video. Sometimes simple a simple grab and fly edf is best Zoom Zoom Zoom Jeff in LA USA
Absolutely!

Sold mine a while ago due to hot landings & i missed having flaps.

I enjoyed watching those flights , I had never considered removing gear , I had 1 , flew it for some time , sold it to another beginner pilot
Great low stress entry level jet.
Very ably demonstrated, Adam. Is the Habu the EDF Timber?? 🤔😃
Thanks Gina! Hmm...could be...

You'd enjoy this. So capable but really easy to fly. You're right, the hand launches are a breeze.
Very nice handling plane !!!
It is! Very light...
Great flying!
Thanks! Great airplane...

If you have room to fly it, I would go with the 70mm. They are both great airplanes, but bigger flies better.
@@ModelAV8RChannel thank you!!@

Ha! Awesome, thats why we're such cool dudes right? LOL...yes. Yes she does...

You really can't Frank. Habu's are hard to beat in that regard.
Hey adam ! Please tell me you know something about a new eflite f-15 or 18 😂
Not yet!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
2 handed launch 😆😆
Yep, you can do that if you launch in SAFE, lol.
