I think Max is strategic, he doesn't have to win everything and he doesn't even have to score more points than Lando. Just finishing every race and getting enough points is enough for the drivers championship.

i think the internal struggle at redbull is much worse than we see in broad daylight and its affecting max big time next weekend could potentially see another situation where max could get out-qualified and outperformed because checo is good at singapore as well

How long did it take you to realize, 4 years? Could be even 6 if you look with magnifier. He was never the most consistent driver to begin with, he would pick up the pieces here and there with the Mercs DNFing and Max being a rookie, but he escaped the fight with Verstappen as soon as the latter adapted almost too quickly and surpassed him with no issue at all. In Renault with no pressure he performed well, because all he had to do was pick up the pieces without a superior teammate. But then, in McLaren we learned how he functions, with the ever changing excuses and so forth - even to this date he and his PR are still recycling the same excuses. What a load of shit. You think you are onto something but you are not. In 2020 you can argue it was his best ever season alongside 2014 and 2016. He beat Seb Vettel in his prime fair and square, and it took Max 2 seasons to finally get the better of Daniel. That is nothing to be shamed of either, Max might go down as the best to ever do it. Daniel didn't struggle until 2021 in the Mclaren, which over 2 seasons unfortunately completely wreaked his confidence he once had. In F1 you don't just need the right car that is competitive, you also need a car that matches your driving style, or at least some what does. Unfortunately for Daniel, the Mclaren is the complete opposite to what he needs to get the full potential out of his driving style. Hence why it was such a massive head scratch to see him finish 5th in the championship in a Renault in 2020, to 2021 looking like a complete shell of a driver he once was.

But now there is competition, he's in 8th place in the championship. One solid weekend in Baku at a track he has always done good at doesn't change anything. I understand his sponsorship backing is a heavy influence in keeping him, but at some point winning championships is more important. In Ricciardo's case, he had a really rough start to the season, but since Canada he has found form again. It has now come to light (Ref. to LawVS & others) that Perez has been vindicated as Horner/Marko have now revealed that the car problems began over 12 mths ago and Perez repeatedly told them that there were problems with the car but was "arrogantly ignored" by the team as Max was still winning everything and put it down to Perez poor driving!! The car has been partly improved to Perez's liking, he also had a refresher course with Rob Wilson, as pointed out by Peter Windsor, and drove a great race beating his teammate but unfortunately DNF due to the incident with Carlos.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wouldn't mind seeing him at a team like Haas . If Magnusson doesn't have a drive next season stick Riccardo in . Im guessing with Beerman joining Kevin will stay around it doesn't work out at Haas whenever they replace both drivers so don't see them starting with 2 new drivers. Riccardo has a home in Beverly hills so maybe he could get a drive with a top indy team.
What you are forgetting here is Daniel's marketing value that has been catapult by Drive To Survive, that Christian loves Daniel almost too much, and RedBull is firstly a Marketing Company before anything else.
Get that old ass geezer outta here he’s slow af and wasting seats for new talent this is formula one not ur best friends racing league where anyone can drive
He didn't go back to backmarkers because he thought of himself way too highly - much higher than he actually is. Yes in f1 you have to know you are good, but you also have to know your place. And then he proceeded to make a whole career out of smiling and doing stupid clown shit for tiktok and DTS. Which his fans absolutely adore - just watch the comments on any VCARB post on any social media. None of them watches f1 for racing, they all want magazine content.
The car has been partly improved to Perez's liking, he also had a refresher course with Rob Wilson, as pointed out by Peter Windsor, and drove a great race beating his teammate but unfortunately DNF due to the incident with Carlos.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
don't forget Daniel Ricciardo quit Red Bull and got fired from McLaren while Sergio was the best Wing Man to Max that helped Red Bull win all their championships, it's not just his sponsorship that helped keep him in the team. Anybody remember 2021.
Yeah limped in to second place and now he is single handedly going to cost RB the constructors championship because he is shit
The reason why max is not worried is because side he knows that clown lando will drop the ball even with a decent car
