“Most of what you do has to be driven by your passion , fueled by your purpose , otherwise ther is no point.” That’s just gold bro…. Cheers and much gratitude 🙏
Thank you. Cheers.
I particularly liked the idea of scoring potential clients.
(PVP framework)
1. Passion
(for client and what they're working on)
2. Value to market
(I assume, value of my offer to client and others like them)
3. Profitability
(how much does it make financial sense to take this client)
I guess, sometimes as designers, we get so caught up on, how to get potential clients to 'choose' us, that we forget that we also have a choice around who we work with
.
Recently made a super long list of companies I'd genuine adore to work with, and it helped me get a clearer picture of my avatar.
The insights on refining your client portfolio are spot on. One advanced tactic is to conduct a 'reverse audit' on your existing clients, identifying not just who you enjoy working with, but also who brings the most strategic value to your business. This often reveals opportunities to pivot or offer new services that align with high-value clients' evolving needs.
so, kind of a client recycle/resell yeah?
What I appreciate about these videos is seeing the scale of people you help. I mean, these are some impressive people, but we're all on the same path.
It’s a diverse group.
I think it's a wise pivot they made to teach business people design, bc what happens with all those designers who now understand business, if they aren't able to communicate the value of their design solutions to business owners and communicators?
"I can't find my glasses"
I was thinking the same solution for the issue with the dual-coupled target avatars
2 websites, or branched website based on user archetype
it just hit me that, if I could see such a potential solution without thinking about it so much, then it's possible that I also have problems that look really big, only to me
Takeaway: asking for help, helps
"you just have to wait for candela to light you up" that gave me chills
great line :D
🕯️
Refreshing to find many things said out loud, intentionally, that I've believed and suspected for years. Wish I would have found a resource like Chris and his team a long time ago
You are such an inspiration
Thank you.

@@thefutur and you delivered. thank you
question on portfolios…
I have an understanding that a portfolio should show the best of one's work… right
now, what if I want to document all my projects somewhere (separate from my main "storefront" portfolio)
my idea is to make a secondary portfolio, dedicated to showing the growing process and reasoning behind projects
that was context. Here's the actual question (open to The Futur team, and others) :
What are your opinions on sharing this secondary portfolio with potential clients, so thy can see your track record and trust you more for it?
Do you think this would do more help or hurt?
(this is something I've been wrestling with for months. Thanks for your insights)
Versus wrestling with it for month why not just create it? Sounds like the secondary portofolio you're talking about can be turned into a blog for your website.
@@thefutur Thanks for your insight.
I actually did start making it last week. I'm halfway done with it.
And you make a good point. The case studies would work well as a blog. I also realise I kind of already had that going.
What did Chris say that those in consumer packaging should be linked up with at 12:50... diline??
The Dieline
Men stay alert! Don’t loose guard!!
You can present anything, just don't lie. Great idea.
1 point though - is there no risk of ie Mini Cooper coming along and saying 'hey, take that off your site please?'
I mean, I'd totally do it and have used spec/skit work in media adjacent to my main work but if there is more potential exposure I wonder how that works out....even if you're not specifically lying. Does it come under fair use or you just say sorry and take it down?
It’s a spec commercial. Students do this. Up and coming directors do this. There’s some risk.
I love the speaking boxes❤❤❤❤
they're called catch box. super cool.
@@thefutur Brilliant name for it, indeed!I am not even a graphic designer, but I will be learning here! I can see all the innovation I have neglected thanks to the content. A blog is for "SEO and leads meta tags, and to prepare for sales...not for content"..that was eye opening. I don't think this was said here, but I did hear it from this channel. And profile pictures as pattern interrupters! Wow! Devil is in the details! Thanks so much. Who knows how far these small twicks can take me! Implementing implementing!
These jobs that you post Chris, are they in your facebook pro group? How do we get in on this? 🙏
They're available inside of the Futur Pro Group.
I love Chris and what he does, but in these classes there is just a touch of condescension when he talks to the people in his audience and it cuts like a knife. For a man so aware and considered with his personal brand, I can only assume that's intentional - and so I wonder why?
They say that these stupid countdown intros actually can harm your CTR and lose retention retention retention
Thanks for letting us know, where did you hear this? We're always testing things out.
@@thefutur are you familiar with think media and Sean?
Yup very familiar.
@@thefutur awesome well that's where I get all my advice from other than you and I was talking to them guys because my content is a very different Niche that as much as I want to use you guys as Horses and stuff I'm not sure it would probably work with cannabis education but last year we had one of those countdowns and they reached out to me and told me that it would be best to remove that then I've seen it on a couple of episodes to I'd have to search for it to be honest but trust me I might not be as big as you guys are smart but I'm learning my way through the hurdles of Life on this UA-cam and was advised by some of the best at think media that it's better to start with a hook and then cut right to the content

Your info is so old! It was in the times when agencies could choose and pick clients. Now, if your prices are not competitive, they will call India or China. Where is the competitiveness? the standard pricing in the market?
Do you say this because you are having trouble finding or keeping clients?
@@thefutur I follow the top ones in the world, Ray Dalio, Tony Robbins, Chris Sacca, Mark Cuban. Your info doesn't match with proven track record winners.
That's probably why there's a bunch of people commenting how this is helpful. Also, if your comment was accurate, every media agency and production company would be out of business.
@@rodrigotasca8735 You mean, commenting like you? In favor of these ideas? As mentioned previously, I follow people that really had results. In regard to agencies, the ones competing right now are the ones having years of combine experience and education. People don't become marketers or designers in a year or two. But good luck following this guy.
hes not competing with those charging less than him. He's competing with those charging more than him
