It's always great to see people stick with the L28, I'm not against V8 swaps but as hard as these cars are to find in restorable condition it's refreshing to see the original engine built up.

my triple webers were running so rich. never really wanted to start and would leak gas if i turned it off. young and stupid when i owned it. really miss it now.

wow, there must have been something badly wrong with them, (float levels?) they are normally really easy to start, coupla stabs on the throttle pumps and bam! The hard part is finding a dyno shop with a big enough collection of jets and tubes to set them up properly.

Got to get a heat shield between carbs and headers .Lost power from heat soak ,a True cold air intake would help as well .Sucking hot air is pointless .Nice build though.

Hope The Weber's Are Stg.1 or 2,My Mechanics Son Used Stg.3 & Pretty Hard To Keep Tuned,3' s Are Pretty Much for RACING On A Track.

Webers don't go out of tune, there are no moving parts like SUs, and there's no such thing as "Stage" on them, you are thinking of cams; you choose the carb and choke size according to the engine size and cam; as long as you don't choose too big chokes, they are magic for throttle response, much better than the SU types the Zs came with as stock.

I called REBELLO and talked to Dave I believe. It's going to cost about 10K for a complete set up. I think that's either for their 3.0 or 3.2 set up. I don't remember. I know it's a lot.

Comparison between Japanese and American UA-camrs: the Japanese guy showed a 3.1-litre triple carb stroked L28 S30, didn't say a word. I was praying for this to be silent too, too bad.
