Huzzah! The 333 Year War is finally over! Albeit high casualties... Nevertheless, Vortia now holds a colonial settlement over the conquered island, but relations with Vortia's previous ally is now strained. I do wonder how King Vortide will proceed from here. Will he choose to coexist with his previous ally, or proclaim an Empire by complete domination over all the islands?

I think King Banta was just sort of surprised at your ruthlessness when it came to Queen Mazenburg, M'lord. Sure while it may seem harsh to conquer an entire kingdom, she did start this war and remained a nuisance for 300 years... My Great Grandpa was there when the war was first started. I'm just glad I got to see the end of it.

As a citizen of Vortia, watching this reminds me of my grandpa's stories about the The Great 300 Year War. He always told me how life changing it was fighting during the Great War (albeit fighting towards the end of the war) him and so many other soldiers fought so hard to pave the way for Vortia's golden age. If it wasn't for our great leadership and the heros on the field, we would still be fighting to this day!
The fighting AI definitely needs an overhaul as it kind of makes little fun when they fall for such easy bait exploits and only launch invasions with so few troops.
I was also wondering weather a supply machanic would be beneficial for this game. Where one's troops need to be regularly supplied with food when fighting on foreign lands. Making a siege more costly and logistically difficult
It could be nice, but also could be a bit over the top for how the game is being designed. It sits on that line of making sense considering how many things in the game are already dependent on Resource availability, but could push it just far enough that the game just becomes needlessly challenging with such an addition. If that was to happen though, I would appreciate it if there was a way to build forts on lands you are invading as supply hubs for troops.

Hey Vortide I am the guy that gave you the Noria/moat idea. Thanks for trying it out and showing it in your video I appreciate it. Also I do have an idea for your end goal of this playthrough if you want it. You should try to control all of the islands and see if you can get to 5K pops. I think that is the highest level you can get recognized for. Also for the AI rulers if you can get your reputation to maxed out with them and keep it that way for a few years they will offer to retire and just give you their kingdom. King Banta is the easiest to do this with I have found since he is easy to impress. That would help you to get the end goal of controlling all of the islands and getting to 5K pops.

Good job man!! You are doing well. 1 tip go and make a blacksmith heaven on Large Vortia. I would love to see that happen maybe a dragon sculpture in the middle surrounding it with a horse shoe of blacksmiths.
1 huge tip garden roads can increase happiness when your citizens walk through em. Make a few lines.

Man, i love this series! I like kingdoms and castles and not to many ppl make videos on the game. Then, i found your series, and ever since then, I've subscribed and plan to keep it that way! If you ever get bored of this world you could play on falle and see how long you last!

If I may, I suggest a large construction of a massive bridge connecting the original island to the new one. Possibly with ship gates to not hinder travel but allow common citizens and resources to move freely between the two islands more easily.
(Not sure if it would actually be helpful for resources, but might be good for troop movement without ships and could just be coot to have if it is possible)
That is a great idea my loyal citizen! Now the question is, is it possible? (I’m not sure if the game allows you to build bridges in deep waters)

You should build a lot of ballistas on your coastal wall, that way the Vikings will get sunk before they even land (and you'll be able to remove inland walls and defenses once it's safe)

King Vortide, I have grown up on the shipping boats between Queen Mazenburg and us. I have always thought of having a bridge especially when taking those hikes to the northern coast of Vortia seeing the other coast. In the fog on the horizon I believe it will beneficial as we will no longer need boats and will more easily trade and defend the islands of Large Vortia and Vortia we would also have control of the channel between. Please take this into consideration in the future my Lord.

Banta I am guessing was a schizophrenic he had lots of rapid mood swings and then for no reason declares war on his closest ally for hundreds of years for not going to peace with the enemy they both had for centuries@@runajain5773
yo pro tip man, if you wall in the entire island, with sea gates so ships can still get in, viking attacks are way less effective and quite trivial to deal with

hey vortide, if u see the fish on coasts, use the wooden platforms to build fishing huts outside ur walls for food surpluses, it helps alot when ur at war as enemies usually don't target fishing boats or huts and u make a steady supply of food

Maybe season two eventually could be an archipelago type of map? Maybe a custom may from the workshop with like 7 islands and on hard difficulty?

Is there any way to build a bridge between Vortia and Large Vortia? That way travel will become significantly easier. I'd also suggest a name change to something like North Vortia (would be like Virginia and West Virginia) or perhaps make it a fortress, Northern Fortress.
Also, I suggest thinking about ruling King Banta's kingdom. You could have him rule as king there, but under you flag. That way, not only do you have more resources, you won't have to micromanage 3 kingdoms. War against King Banta should be easier to do compared to the 333 years of war, maybe half.
In the future, when you conquer multiple kingdoms, you could have them be designated kingdoms for certain tasks. Like have one focused on military training, others on agriculture or mining or wood, and so on and so forth
Ok, honestly, I believe what happened with King Banta is him seeing that you became too powerful and unrest rising at home because of all the troops that died in pointless attacks on queen Mazenbergers Island. So he gave in to pressure made peace with her to take you out in a double pronged attack. Seeing as you just lost the majority of your troops on a failed attack.What he didn't expect though was for her to fall immediately being unable to fight of a surprise second invasion.
So to not look weak in front of his kingdom he send in a token attack. And after it predictably failed he was in the clear to make peace with the new regional overlord.
