Appreciate the tutorial however I don’t see pattern pieces for the lining and I can’t find anything on the pattern pieces giving instructions for cutting the lining. It would also be helpful to have a diagram for the layout of the pieces or at least instructions to cut long straps first. By the time I got to cutting the straps there wasn’t a long enough piece for straps.
I'm a bit confused on the darts.TS 22:24. I'm mostly an apparel sewing so to me - it seems like you're not matching up the dart legs? or is it that the interfacing isn't covering all of the dart legs? make sense? I bought this pattern a long time ago a kari's in Whitewater, but rediscovered it recently - still in the packaging - needed a new purse - so thought I'd try it.

A couple options you could try when making this pattern would be to attach the straps directly to the D-Rings or you can attach the straps directly to the bag without the D-Rings or the Swivel Hooks. This would help with the twisting but the strap ends might end up looking bunched up on this particular bag design. If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know. Happy Sewing!
Thank you for responding to my question! This was my first bag making attempt, and got the kits from Missouri Star. I got two, so I’ll try a different method with the second one. The first one is the mustard faux leather. The one I’m starting on today has the pretty blue cork. I’m not sure if the vinyl twists more than the cork, or do they perform about the same?
@@welshwitch2126 The cork doesn't have as much stretch as the faux leather, so it shouldn't twist as much. Try using basting tape to hold the folds and sewing clips so the material doesn't shift (causing a twisted result). Let us know if you have any further questions & Happy Sewing! :)
I can't understand why the finished bag was not presented? Did it not turn out correctly? I'm in the middle of finishing my bag and I'm at the point of sewing in the liner, I'm almost afraid to go on! I prob. won't get a response,

Not a fan of the swivel hooks! They keep turning and twisting the strap around. Is there a way to stop that?
