I had some synthetic bristle brushes that had gone hard after using wb gloss. Tried many things to get them clean. I was going to Chuck them but had one last go at cleaning them with Zep driveway cleaner used neat. They came out perfect after a 2 day soak!
I got purdey 2 and 3 inch brushes about 15 years ago, initially skeptical because of higher prices. But I can say easily best brushes I ever owned and used. After 100's of uses on w/b gloss, traditional gloss, emulsion, even osmo oil, danish oil and fence stain, they have NEVER dropped a single hair ever, and still lots of lively feel in them. Clean easily (sometimes use a nit comb) Very nice product
Thank you.. and yes great times at college... I got the book with pages missing because the teacher thought I knew it anyway.. lol will show this in a video..
Hi! Nice to see another video! What is the best paint brush??? Depends on the project you are tackling. But the paint brush that will always get you out of a jam is the Hyde/Richard 3 in 1. 2 1/2 gooseneck flexible paint brush extension. Use it on its own. Put it on an extension pole. And bend it to any angles. Save time and money! Eliminates going up and down ladders. Cheers!
I think pure bristle is on the way out hardly anyone uses them anymore hamilton have just stopped making them harris will follow suit the only decorating centre where you can still get them is johnstones only a hand full of firms online wouldn't be surprised another decade or so be very hard to get and cost a absolute fortune corona luckily still do them there the best ones but not easy to get hold of
Actually spear and jackson from home bargins ,most will laugh but they are the only brush for cutting in ,thinly layed and soft ,not thick as a floor brush and stiff as a corpse
There is absolutely no such thing as 'the best' brush, rollers, paint etc etc....We have different size and shape hands, some people prefer Kaiser handles, some beavertail, some lolly stick.. I have a Lucas brush, absolutely hate it...they cost between 90 and 130 quid, but its not for me. My go to brushes, Foxes, Corona Merlin, Wooster Alpha, oldfields Are they the 'best'? nope...but I like em. If you want a decent cheapy....Wickes do a good one, thats probably not the best of the cheap ones either..but I like it.

I've got a range of pure bristle and synthetic like yourself. My favourite brushes at the moment are wooster silver tip. Great for glossing.

Yes. Used scrubbable matt a while back with a pure bristle brush. Never again, couldn't believe what it did to my brush. Synthetic's are ok.
Thank you for another great video. I see your old college training manual (like mine) still takes pride of place! 👍

Yes it will be a shame if it happens because we will always want to buy some. Fingers crossed they think of the tradesperson.

Best brushes out there are proform blaze brushes for both oil and water based. Haven't found a better brush after 13 years in the trade.
Oldfield's aren't bad, the fossa viper trim from decorating direct are excellent there made by proform as well I believe.
@@TheMusclejunkie Oldfield's are decent brushes. Not as keen on viper, find they don't last as long. Arrowworthy make some decent ones also.
Who's Badger did the badger hair brush come off?lol
👍👍
Axus brushes decent and old fields
No sound ?
Sound is on..
Ah yes had to turn it up more 👍

Worn ones
Corona USA make the best paint brushes.
They barely scratch the UK market though, so 🤷🏼♂️
@@Lloyd1885 Still the best brush, virtually indestructible.
Next time I'm in the state's I'll be grabbing a handful....so much cheaper there
@@Lloyd1885 They are ridiculously dear from Decorating Direct and Brewers. Can't understand why there aren't more stockists.
👍👍
