I made one but instead of compressed air I used hydrogen😂 it sounded like 5 shotguns firing and the ping pong ball blew up every time now I just use alcohol fumes 😂
Madea very similar camnon couple years ago. Air chamber was 4 x 40". Modded 1" sprinkler valve. Barrel was 4" x 48", used softballs for ammo. 60 psi shot easily 200 yards on a very high angle. 75 psi it shot though exterior sheeting, interior drywall, and embedded in opposite wall. 90 psi aprox 400 yards on high arch. Using a flatter trajectory it went through 4 sheets 3/4" plywood, and scared tbe hell out of me. Was ready to destroy it, but a guy with more money than sense offered $250 sold, with the condition he had to reassemble it him self. 2 weeks later i was asked some uncomfortable questions by local police regarding his exes csr being shot repeatedly by a weapon of unknown origin. Told the trurh the guy had asked a few questions and left with a box of used pvc fittings, i had no idea what he did with stuff. DA refused to charge saying that it wasnt possible to do damage that bad with pvc cannon. Will not do it again that much is certain.
nice design i have built a similar one a while ago and am now making a new version of it. Air cannons are the absolute best thing. i wanted to make my new version with a compressor connection but i am not sure of any quick connect valves that would work do you have any recommendations
+Patrick Burns yeah, I love the air cannon. So much fun. I've seen a few guys use a ball valve and then standard air compressor (nitto?) connector - so you just need to open the valve, fill it up, then close it off before disconnecting
It’s hard to list it all because I just went to a plumbing store and told them what I was after. It’s pretty much just pressure pipe with a cap on one end and reducer on the other, down to a 1inch male thread (that works with my sprinkler valve release) Pressure pipe is pretty expensive. I think the tank and fittings cost me over $100 (Australian). But it depends a lot on how much pipe you get, what diameter, etc.
So air is compressed in the air chamber and is only controled by the release valve? Then the air simply push the golf ball out? Or there is a pneumatic piston that pushes it? What is the exit speed of the ball? Thank you
Yep, pump up the air pressure and then release the sprinkler valve. There's no pneumatic piston, it's just air pushing it out. It's best to have a relatively close fit, between the ball/can and pipe, so no air is wasted. Not sure of the exit speed of the ball. But you can vary the speed and distance it shoots by the amount of pressure you put in the tank.
hey I have some questions about this if you could respond asap, im gonna try remaking this for my senior engineering project where we have to make an air cannon that shoots wiffle balls and has a max of 30 psi and has a bleeding system, would you mind chatting with me ab this?
Hey Fred, why not just ask him to take the exam for you - senior student and you want help with an air cannon?? maybe you should have payed attention in class.
It's about 10cm (~4in) in diameter and about 50cm (~20in) long. There was no real basis for these dimensions, I just wanted to be able to shoot cans and figured I'd need a decent amount of air behind it. I'm hoping to make a few different sized chambers to see how the different sizes affect how it shoots, but it's just pretty expensive buying everything and making sure it's all pressure rated.
I couldn’t list them if I tried, sorry mate. I basically just went to a plumbing store and got pressure pipe and asked them to help me with a cap on one end and reducing the other size down to a 1in male thread. Length and diameter of pipe is kind of all up to what you want. This was a bigger tank, but I’ve got enough left over to make another slightly smaller one. Then it was just a matter or installing a bike pump valve in one end and then screwing on the sprinkler valve to the other end.
You could definitely make it shorter. The only reason I made it that long was so it kind of match the chamber size. I'm hoping to experiment with a few different lengths and sized chambers when I get the chance.
accidentally fired a syringe full of air to a cow, it died in 5 minutes
I’m sorry. WHAAATTT

With the parts to build this cannon can you print please

+Matt Riggs Agreed. They can be very dangerous. I mainly like shooting ping pong balls, as they’re still fun, but slow up pretty quick

What are the specs? Pipe parts...
Can you send a link to all the materials you’ve used and roughly how much everything cost?
It’s hard to list it all because I just went to a plumbing store and told them what I was after.

Can you write the model of release valve
Shot distance?
What valve did you use brother?
What was the total cost of this ?

If anyone is still here... Can yoj kindly tell me.. I want to know how to measure the speed of the ball without any hightech speed measurer thingy
Parts list?
What is the length in inches of the air chamber and what size is the PVC for the air chamber

Great video!!!
Thanks mate.
I absolutely love this air cannon. I've had so much fun playing around with it.
From where i can buy the trigger valve online...?
Shoot a golf ball through a train track
This music is absolutely beautiful I would like to contact you so I can figure out where you got that music from it is so amazing!
Ah yes the UA-cam music library what an amazing find
Can anyone list the supplies needed please?

Alright thanks, i figured it out anyway. I loved the tutorial and idea!
why is the barrel so long can you make it shorter??

great one bro....well done....
loved it....😘😘😍😘
narasinga rao kinda rapey, dude.....
Did a two year old pick your music i suggest you change the music if u want people to come back and watch any more of your videos .
can i use abs pipe?
+maria yuni not unless it is pressure rated
muzik bad
The gayest damn music I had to turn it I thought I was at a carnaval.
WTF is with the soundtrack? Did you pay some university to conduct research to find the most annoying noise?
WHY SUCH GAY MUSIC?
terrible music choice
Haha. Harsh, but fair.
Wth u mean this is beautiful
@@raisinpantz6272 I know right?
