Hi Philip. I have just ordered a .22, also in black - looks a tidy piece of kit! Just an observation I make as an NSRA Range Conducting Officer on your video - and only meant in a helpful spirit, not having a dig. Without the addition of the shoulder stock you are in possession of (according to current UK firearms law) an air pistol that exceeds 6ft/lb at the muzzle (9ft/lb with the longer barrel fitted); and is therefore a prohibited section 5 firearm. If the local plod happens upon the pistol without a stock attached, you would be looking a hefty prison term - up to 5 years. I would suggest fitting the stock and carrying in your case so equipped, which will place you on the right side of the law. I know it only takes a minute to put the stock on, but a policeman - and the current law, do not see it that way - even if it is locked up in a case! Anyhow, enjoy the new puppy and stay safe!

Technically, if you change the barrel before adding the stock in the privacy of your own home (or elsewhere) then you will be holding a S5 firearm. I seriously doubt you need worry in actuality provided you are sensible (i.e. don't go out in public firing it in that state) though.

I've been trying get straight answer about this from uk so to be safe either leave pistol barrel on or no barrel when transporting and put stock on 1st b4 rifle barrel when there i think you should be OK only issue is if you stored spare co2 in handle and your using rifle barrel so be damn fast when getting stock off to get to spare co2

The story of my CP2 gets more convoluted! My gunsmith refused to sell me the gun I had ordered as they felt it was a Section 1 firearm, due to the fact that it exceeded 6ft/lb in pistol format with the pellets they tested it with. They also felt that because the stock was not permanently attached, as with the Crosman Ratcatcher, it is to easily modified into a Section 1. So as they say - go figure!!!!

I had assumed that the difference in muzzle velocity (and therefore ft/Lbs) was down to the barrel length rather than anything else. Would it count as a pistol with the 18" barrel attached but no stock?

I cannot find any law stating a stock needs to be permanent to make it a rifle and providing it doesn't exceed 6fp with pistol barrel on it should be fine however if using longer barrel without stock on yes it is illegal apparently may i ask was it purchased from a uk seller or imported as imports seem to be slightly more powerful depending on where it comes from what was seller website or local gun shop

Hey Philip could do with some help.
I accidentally took out the small components out of the silencer. There seems to be 3 different types in there. Any idea in what order they are meant to go back in?
    Thanks

Great video mate. Can you leave a link or tell me the dimensions of your carry case? Would love to get the same one.
    Thanks 😊👍

Man i just bought the cp1. No wonder it was on sale so cheap. They were clearing house for this cp2. Crosman is in trouble if this thing performs well. Americans need power mods as we are unlimited.

Yes, this is a cp1-m on steroids!
Pellet choice is critical to get best performance and smoothness of indexing, but it is a great gun in pistol and rifle form. I will be testing with the chronograph on the weekend if the weather is ok. I will probably try a stainless steel spring guide from throbbing and/or a stronger hammer spring soon, so I need to get a baseline power reading as standard. It would cost £££ to get a 2240 to the same spec.

I got the bipod from eBay for £14.99. It has a fitting so it can be mounted into a weaver rail. www.ebay.co.uk/i/252025744024

Hi, the thread is not 1/2 unf. The thread is a few mm smaller, but not sure exactly what size.
The CP2 comes with a great suppressor/silencer in the box.
