I have been facing the same issue since last night, 24hrs later still unable to get a fix. Thanks to you guys, I am now a happy fool. One love from Malaysia!
I have another solution that worked for me after trying countless other methods. First make sure your Fitbit is charging. Next there should be an ‘update tracker’ on the Fitbit app which will try to locate the Fitbit. The Fitbit watch will then automatically start up again. That somehow worked for me instead of holding buttons. I’m also using the ionic version
Follow these steps: On the watch, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive). When the device vibrates, release all buttons. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
The reason this doesn't work is because there is an internal software issue with the fitbit. The fitbit is trying continuously to boot up and it cannot. You need to begin pressing all of the buttons IMMEDIATELY after the logo disappears while it is continuing trying to start up. This will begin the factory reset process. Next, once the logo disappears, you should remove your finger from the bottom-right button. You will then feel a vibration. A red X will come up. Ignore and setup your device again.
It worked for me finally. after 10-12 attempts it finally vibrated and I got another error "data not cleared. sync and try again". Then i tried connecting it to the phone app and boom, my ionic was detected and it started the setup. The firmware got updated and hopefully it is fixed forever. Fingers crossed. Update: I lost my ionic..

Mine just says ‘clock error’. Rats.

Seth Deegan you saved me. Thanks alot
I'm having the same issue but she never stated if it worked or not
The other option is to go to settings-about-factory reset
Finally is the problem sorted? I am having a similar issue.
No. Had to send it back, they sent a replacement.
@@audraward10 thanks
Didn’t work for me, and in the video you don’t say whether yours worked or not. 😵💫🙄
