I watched your last three videos about Bangladesh. I spent 29 years of my life where you are staying in Dhaka. I know that street, New Market, restaurants, shops. There is a cemetery near Newmarket where my mother is buried. I have been in Portugal for the past four years. Watching your videos makes me feel like I'm back home. If you wanted to spend a lot of money, there are a LOT of options in Dhaka like most 1st world countries. Great that you're enjoying yourself. That white pancake style thing is called 'Chitoy Pitha' in Bengali. It is kinda rice cake, in Bangladesh we have different style of pitha(rice cakes). It is made of rice flower, there is another type of rice cake it is called "Vapa Pitha", that is also made of special type of rice flower. Pitha usually is a food during winter in the villages as breakfast. But nowadays it is available year round for it's popularity. The chitoy pitha is also soaked in milk and jaggary sauce and is call dudh(milk) chitoy. Thanks for visiting Bangladesh and spreading positivity.

I studied Dhaka college in 1974 and new market was right side of the main Entrance of Dhaka College. afternoon after the school visited to buy or eat something in the new market and not many people there, not street shops at all. in front of New Market was Cinemal Hall. when I went to Dhaka 23 years ago, I could not find my college there, because so many garabages shops mushroomed there. Dhaka College was the best and old collage of Bangladesh.

It’s called Chitoi Pitha. People used to eat this dish in winter for breakfast and evening snacks. The mustard chatni which makes ties in your eye other one is green chatni which is made of coriander.

If you are inside the city, the minimum temperature there is 16°-17°. When you go to the countryside, the minimum temperature is 7°-12°. Again, when you go to North Bengal, the minimum will be 3°-6°. On winter season (November - February)🥶

Duck egg is called "haash er dim" in Bangla. Also try "Bhapa Pitha" if you find it in the streets. "Bhapa Pitha" is the sweeter pitha with concentrated date suger and coconut.

It’s called Chitoi Pitha. People used to eat this dish in winter for breakfast and evening snacks. The mustard chatni which makes ties in your eye other one is green chatni which is made of coriander.

If you are inside the city, the minimum temperature there is 16°-17°. When you go to the countryside, the minimum temperature is 7°-12°. Again, when you go to North Bengal, the minimum will be 3°-6°. On winter season (November - February)🥶

Duck egg is called "haash er dim" in Bangla. Also try "Bhapa Pitha" if you find it in the streets. "Bhapa Pitha" is the sweeter pitha with concentrated date suger and coconut.

It's just a formality for foreigners, and the army will provide you protection as well, but you need to apply at least a week ahead. Just search on Google: Apply For Permission Foreigner Rangamati or Bandarban.
