As someone who has raised a Crow/raven people underestimate just how smart these birds really are there intellect is on another lvl...I've been around many bird species but magpies crows n ravens are the smartest hands down....they also love shiny things mine still brings me bottlecaps coins the odd piece of jewelry bits of tin foil n places them in the same spot in the yard lol if ur willing to give any animal some time n show it some love n respect everybody would see just how unique n special they all are...
This is true. What is also true is crow wars. I worked at a trainyard once PACKED with crows, so many that they actually factioned up. They are very human in nature as i watched them try to hop eachothers borders (the traintracks lol) and get fought off, including fighting for food. They often verbally communicate with eachother, and tell eachother off sometimes. The coolest is when theyd land on your truck mirror and eat peanuts out of your hand.
Fun side story, a coworker there had built up such a trust with one crow that hed be inseperable with him while in the yard. Once the poor fella got his leg caught in the truck door trying to fly in and sadly lost his leg. MF came back a week later without a leg and an appetite for peanuts. Loyal fella.
They never forget good or bad deeds, they also realise, unbelievably, if your actions were an accident or not. So dont fuck with them, theyre kind of literally like Cuccos from Zelda lol
What's the difference between the two?
@@Longpipejang honestly apart from size i wouldnt know. They are both equally intelligent and social, ravens are about 1.5 times bigger than a crow on average. And are both scavengers. Id look that one up.

I feel like 75% of animals are smarter than most people nowadays, we're just too numbed out and self centered to realize it 😂
we arent the smartest species, we are the most resourceful and the ones with the most ability to create and knowledge on tool use, what other animals have effectively inhabited ALL parts of the world and have established civilizations in all of these parts. Not to mention the fact that humans create or discover a new language like once every few years, most other animals dont even come close to those abilities but do much better in others, but not in other things say as pigeons who can perfectly remember where they are meant to return to even blindfolded set backwards and hundreds of miles away.
