To tell you the truth, the original muffler with the Akrapovic link pipe is great sounding but the Akrapovic muffler looks way better then the original.
why not the best bike ? I have a garage full of bikes from HD cvo to 1200 xca and the MT-10 is the bike that I always ride it just takes no effort and it is a blast so in my case it is by far the best bike

Best comparison video I’ve seen. I as well have the link pipe but am on stock muffler would love shorter muffler as from what iv seen in videos they have a deeper bark to them. Should compare a Coffman shorty or any other mufflers you have lying around or can get hands on awesome way to compare with same mic
Gp sounds deeper, stock is more omph , the last is more grrr sound. Voted gp slip on but in savings cost ,the stock actually sounds good too after the pipe change.
I'm comparing end cans ONLY on a decat in this video. As I said, there's no way there's 20hp difference between END cans! If you want to make comments about "20hp difference" I suggest you go and find a video comparing a 'stock factory exhaust' with a 'full aftermarket exhaust' with dyno tune.
The other comments say they are from 1 month ago... weird? but anyways the goats remind me of when i lived in Vic we had a small got farm of about 25 goats. Love it
Stock one is very good. But imo the cp4 engine sounds the best with shorty cans like sc projects or austin racing. it gives them that high pitch harsh motogp sound

$1.2k for a can is a bit pricey considering you can get a full titanium Akra system including headers for an MT09 for about $1.5k or a full Delkevic system for about $600.

@@AdjrianNickelodeon thanks mate already done with the last seat after the warranty ended ☺️ Just wanted to let you know. Have a good time with the beast and greetings from Berlin - Germany
If you're going for a quality after market exhaust then don't buy it in Oz. I bought a complete Akra titanium system for a blackbird out of the states including air freight for less than half what you pay here. The number one reason for the system was the massive weight saving. One Blackbird oem can weighed more than the entire 4 into one system from Akra. I doubt anything has changed since I did mine so the process is a lot more complicated than just swapping cans. You should bridge out the O2 censor that connects into the pipe and changing the system or just the can will stuff up the mapping on the bike. I used a power commander and Akra have maps you can download from their website. Another tip for anyone sick of Australian prices for oem parts should have a look at the US site "Ronnies mail order" That's just the one I use but I guess there are others.
I like the stock silencer no one around here has a dyno to true-life adjust the fuel mapping so im leary of doing any kind of exhaust modifications and i know the cat is big ugly heavy but in the seat you can't see it
Edwina for the win. Not much difference between the stock and akro besides a bit of depth on the akro and it looks better. The shorty sounds the best i reckon but fitment and the damage are a problem.
Honestly The stock sounds the best on video. But i'm sure the full sized akra sounds better in real life. Edit: Nevermind, you recon it sounds better in real life.
Test rode an MT-10 a while back. When I was chatting with a bunch of the Yamaha mechanics about the bike they all mentioned that the akrapovic link pipe with the stock muffler was louder than with the akra muffler.

modern bikes have had money put into most of them to get good exhaust systems a lot of bikes now days you just need to remove the cat from the middle and your set but i still expected after market to sound better
