HOT day in Arizona. Ralph shows me a Pond that used to be a cement trough. Looking to replace a pump, this customer ended up re doing his water feature and now has a beautiful Pond with a spectacular mountain view

Pondscapes AZ is an awesome company and Ralph Biezad blends ecosystem science and artistry to create masterpieces. We are grateful to be pond people and part of the Aquascape family.
Greg, we did add some tropical lily’s. Love, love, love them! Since the shooting of the video we have had coyotes splashing around in the waterfall, a Harris hawk bathing, ravens drinking, a large king snake swimming and our daily entourage of dove, quail, cowbirds, antelope squirrels and rabbits. The mule deer are curious but still cautious - maybe one day. The Koi are fat and sassy and the high fin sharks are growing like weeds. Our little oasis provides so much to so many. We marvel at it everyday.

Living in AZ myself it's so interesting to see all these water features I didn't think possible here.
I live in the city, near the old PV mall, and get an amazing array of wildlife at my house bc of my pond. Even foxes, raccoons, hawks, etc. You'd never guess it was Phoenix.

Hey if they have no cats and other wild life coming to the pond at night they might want to buy some wildcameras to film it..we love to see that happening if these cars might take a dip too. They can put a lot of tiny fish in it..so they can try to catch them but not really..few big ones might not be the solution but many tiny ones will look great..
They do have game cameras set up and capture some really incredible videos of the local wildlife at night! 👍🙌

Why does the water have to be full of algae? Why does it have to be there? I've always known it to be bad from having aquariums and I don't think I could swim in it. You don't see it in natural rivers. I love the ponds and falls and I'd love to have one, but the algae really bothers me.
You need alot of aquatic and marginal plants to control algae. Algae exists in water that have too much nutrients. Plants starve the algae.

It's just a matter of learning to hedge it off. I learned to add a lot of bacteria tabs in March, and never get algae any more. Every set up is different.
Algae is a plant. If there are other plants that consume the nutrients that feeds algae then it is starved and does not survive as prolific. This is also a young pond that just came out of winter so the aquatic plants are just getting started at the time of filming.

Right about 16-17 seconds into the video, there is a UFO that streaks across the sky from right to left. The video appears to be at normal speed as evidenced by the dog running to surprise a guest. Since I'm fairly sure you still have the original video, can you look and identify the craft as earthly or terestrial?
