What councils say about these lights is a blatant and glaring example of 'greenwash'. They are less environmentally friendly than a high-speed railway. Goodbye to the night and the stars, the moonlight and the romance. One wonders whether they're designed to stop us wanting go out at night.

@@casl7266 Devastating to you or everyone else? I'm sure the majority of people appreciate brighter lights. Your issue is you can't see the moon and stars. Rural areas only have lights maybe every 4 or 5 blocks not 3 or 4 to a block. I install these lamps so I know that if the majority in the community do not want those lights they would take them down so I know that you are most likely the only one complaining.

@@millvee1005 Hmm. have you looked around the internet at the level of complaints and criticisms? Have you examined what is said by the Dark Skies Assoc. The BMA, the AMA, the British Astronomical Society and by ten thousand people on public forums? Have you seen all the online petitions calling for change? Have you discovered the futility of complaining to councils? Have you visited the Campaign for Amber Street Lights?

@@casl7266 No I haven't but each street I install these lights on I get thank you and huge compliments from people who were tired of burnt out streetlights. That's all that matters to me and I get paid very well😊

I really truly hate the stark blinding glare of LED street lights!!!
And LED headlights on cars!
The street light in front of my house was converted to LED this year and it's like living across the street from a 24-hour gas station/convenience store or a sports stadium during a night game!!
Hate it w/all my heart!!!
