Aaron is with grass seed as Laura is with plants in containers... recommend three plants per pot?! I’LL PUT 7! 200# of seed?! DOUBLE IT! 😂
There’s a lot of ground to cover with the grass seed.
I was thinking the same thing!
Yup! Totally normal!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Plus the birds will take some of it
I love it I would do the same.
That’s so sweet of you to help your grandparents out in their yard! They have a great setup back there 😍 Also, who else plays the game, “spot the kitty” with every video? 😂
Yes! I laughed when I seen the cat strolling in the background too!
Me too! Cat supervisor! Always alert and on duty!!
Sometimes I watch the video twice if I get distracted by the cats 😹
Me 🙋🏻♀️🐱😆
I always watch for the Russell and Cheddar sightings!!! It's part of watching her videos!!! :D
And the cat in the background was on cue at the end 😂😂😂😂..I swear your cats are showbiz professionals and understand what to do..Good for them😅😅😅
I love to see the excitment in your face. Your eyes light up and smile is a little bit more bright when you talk of the Hartely. BTW I live in the UK and we call a Hartely greenhouse a Hartley. It deserves its name.....
Yippee...nice to know we in Laura's Orb are referring to it correctly...The Hartley - The Hartley - The Hartley - The Hartle - The Hartl - The hart - the har - the ha - the h ...ahhhh like a pleasant dream : )
True
"What do we want?"
"Low-fling airlplain noises!"
"When do we want them?"
"Neeeyyyooow!"
I never mind Laura's dirty hands. A hearty visual showing this woman is not only not afraid of physical work, she enjoys it. Thanks so much for passing on your knowledge. My plants are actually thriving.
Exactly!!! Laura and Aaron are the real deals of gardeners on YT. I live for their videos. Others just walk and talk about the same old plants. Not my jam stealing Laura's words :)
@@d.wilbur5164 hmm, yeah for sure. I think Aaron said one time they are one of the biggest gardening channel, but I think he has no idea chinese youtubers exist, Liziqi has like 16 mil on YT and 25mil on Bilibili. But I stopped watching Liziqi even though her vids are pretty because she was just so fake.
She even made some drama, about how she does everything herself, also cried about how dare ppl insult her by asking if she's taiwanese, she's a "patriotic chinese woman". I'm glad Laura is honest about the amount of work it takes, doesn't create unrealistic expectations. I feel like Liziki's vids are for lazy urban ppl who will never see dirt, but fantasize about farm life. Owning land is an expensive and risky endeavor. I'm still trying to buy some that isn't in a flood area.
And she is always so positive! I come to UA-cam for my daily dose of Laura just to brighten up the day.
@@HisameArtwork Liziki has her own way of doing things that people enjoy. She does beautiful art work and stitchery. She gardens all the time. She cooks amazing food and makes it look easy. She doesn't show the actual slaughter of animals to be respectful of others, but she does show she uses what she raises and grows. She works extremely hard. She has a whole different way of life and it's relaxing and inspiring to watch her. We don't need to condemn one to support another. Liziki and Laura have their own ways of doing things and we can enjoy both and many of the others who share their skills.
Right! I wish I was her neighbor! She is such a worker, I sure she would push out of her way if you are too slow🤣🤣🤣
Looks like grandpa could use a Hoselink!❤️🤷♀️❤️
I thought that too.
I was thinking the same thing. But they may have offered and he didn't want it.
My EXACT thoughts!!!!!
So…Aaron “doubled” the grass seed…anyone else chuckle about that?? It’s kind of like when Laura fills a planter! To get faster results. I absolutely love this channel!! Laura and Aaron are like a Reese’s cup!!
I sure was LMBO! Laura sure has rub off on him! 😂🤣😂🤣 I can see both of their kids following their footsteps! 😍😆😍
@@marisolbrunk5303 Oh absolutely!! It would NOT be a bad thing! We see what they let us see but I feel like they are good people and we need more of them in this world!! Especially their kindness!!
You are so blessed to still have some grandparents. I miss mine. 💜
I miss mine too!
Grandpas advice on thinning fruit on trees make me laugh 😆
Background: Cheddar strolls across the just laid grass seed….😹
Cheddar: my Kingdome.
I spotted him too...I like how he stopped right to the side of Laura's head and looks over at camera.
Nice that you continue the tradition. You played in your grandparent's pool, now your kids play in your parent's pool :)
There was me thinking "Hey the first GA video ever where we don't see the cats" then right at the end, nope there he goes 🤣🙀🐈
Well you know that he gets extra Kibble for the " walk on " ... that is show business ... !!!
We all pitched in and hired the planes to watch the Hartley going up lol 🏫🏰🏡✈🛫
😄...I was thinking the same!...those planes may not be as random as she thinks, someone playing eye spy with their property...
I know, every one want to see including me ,Lol
Hahaaa I love this!!
I can't wait for that video!!🤣😂
😂😂😂
Good morning! You have such a big heart. Always helping people. Don't forget to tell Aaron about the need for iron in your grandparent's garden.
“All the planes”: Obsessed Garden Answer fans doing a fly over hoping to get a glimpse of your wonderland! Well at least that’s what I would be doing 😉
Hahaha, this is hilarious!
Yulia from YGarden laughs at Laura's two planes, lol.
Haha, I was thinking the same thing!
It is probably “Fire bombers”; planes that drop fire retardant over brush or forest fires…
@@TheWrightad1 I thought exactly the same. I hope everyone is safe, and bless all the firefighters.
I bet your neighbors enjoy having you guys around, even when the wind blows. You did crack me up though. Kinda like "Have top soil, will travel"
🥰 I loved to see how you helped your grandparents in their garden! Could this be the space in which it all began with gardening, for your family? I’m sure that your grandparents are so very proud of you, Laura!👏💕🌻
You being at your grandparents garden helping them out, made my heart so happy. Sometimes grandparent get forgotten. I'm blessed to have 4 granddaughters that visit me often. 2 granddaughters that live in other states. I know your grandparents appreciated the help.
Laura “keeping it real” by showing us her dirty hands 😂. Do you have any updates on what your city is doing with your old gazebo?
I was wondering about the gazebo the other day. I hope the city has it put back together and installed in the park so everyone can enjoy it and get some shade on these hot, hot days.
I have been wondering the same thing. I would love to see it in its new home.
keepin it real!
also, does anyone know supplier of that perfect arbor?
Ok, I seriously teared up when you talked about your grandparents place at the end. Beautiful memories for you and your babies!! 🥰
Wish we could have met your Granddaddy! Also, I was laughing at your dirty hands thinking surely that’s not from those tomatoes! You are just so REAL and that’s why we love you so.
I used to go help my grandmother in her giant yard. That is a fond memory for me. She loved plants and flowers. She would mow around wild daisies.
Me, too. Sometimes.
Good morning☀️from Colorado🌺 everyone have a wonderful blessed day 🌼
Morning from Littleton, girl! ✌🏻 Have a good one and happy gardening. 😁☀️
Hi from Grand Junction!
@@dianequist835 Hey, Diane! I have two sisters that live there. One over in the Mantey Heights area. Keep cool since you all are always extra hot there. 🥵 Also, can’t wait for the Palisade Peaches this year! 🍑🤪 Toodles and take care! Christine☺️
Good morning from Denver!
@@Chrispy_thee_Critter Colorado peaches are the best!!! I live in the Texas panhandle and ppl bring them here by the truckload for about a week or so. If we don't see them in time, we miss the peaches for a year! 🤯
Grass and a Hartley! Things are moving along.
Good morning! 🌻🐝
Good morning! It's so wonderful that you're able to help your grandparents.
Immediately HIT THAT LIKE BUTTON. The excitement in your voice and your face is infectious!! Yayy for you!!
"This day is a gift..." you are a gift. I enjoy watching even the maintaince tasks. Of course, with the humidity in Virginia, I always end up sweaty and grubby. You look so unrumpled!
Central NC here! Humidity haven lol. Laura does feel for us though. She has said she couldn't live in our climate and garden in it. She would hate it. That makes me feel better 😆
@@langell77 I look so bedraggled after I am outside. Your humidity is probably worse than ours!
Me too...I look like someone doused me with water, my hair plastered to my head by sweat, n my makeup smeared....so hot here on the Mississippi gulf ....lol
Laura- You are such a tease!🤣 I wanted you to flip that camera around and point it at the Hartley so bad. I can't wait to see the progress on it.
What a blessing you gave your grandparents today!
I haven’t washed my hands since I pruned the tomatoes, that gave me a chuckle 🤭💚🙃
Things are really starting to shape up. Next month's garden tour is going to be quite different! So many (exciting) things are changing!!! 🌲🌳🌱
I would still love to be your neighbour (even with all the dust ) :) You're such an inspiration. You inspire me to grow more and give away more...
Good morning everyone!! The picture you posted of that beautiful Hartley is just stunning!!❤️❤️❤️. I can’t wait to see what it looks like for Christmas!!❤️❤️❤️
This whole Hartley process has been such a tease, haha! I’m so excited and giddy to see the progress and completion, almost like it’s my own. Happy for you, Laura and Aaron!
RACHEL: I'm 98% happy, maybe 2% jealous. And what's 2%? That's nothing.
PHOEBE: Totally. I'm 90/10.
RA: Yeah, me too.
Coming soon….THE REVEAL 👏👏👏👏
You’re such a blessing, I know you’re grandparents love having your help.
Wow! 400 POUNDS of grass seed! You'll have an amazing mass of green in no time.
Laura, your grandparents need a Hoselink! Hook them up girl! LoL 😂!
Cat supervisor! Checking out Aaron's grass seeding today and asking, "Where's the green for me to roll in??!!"
Dirty hands are a good sign of a dedicated gardener. It's all good.
Excited to see the Hartley progress. 🌷🌻🌷🌻
You can tell a true gardener by their hands. 🌼
That pond is beautiful. I remember that clean up. So sweet of you to help out your grandparents with their garden. A family line of gardeners. ❤️
It's hard to come out of the garden with clean hands if you are working! You are such a loving granddaughter, I know they love you a lot! Enjoy them while you have them! Such a blessing to have the grandparents around! I don't have any of them anymore.
Hugs🤗🤗🤗💜💜💜🤗🤗🤗
The hands, 🤣😂🤣 Love how Laura keeps it real.
OMG. You do so much!!! We need a day in the life video. Show how you do it all in a day. Life, kids, gardening your schedule. How do you stay on top of everything. It would be helpful for us less organized people.
Laura, I’ve always loved your heart. Most of the time you say “we”, like this time working in your grandparent’s garden, when YOU are the one that did all the work. Or maybe you secretly DO have super powers, like some of us have suspected this whole time, because you can accomplish so much! ❤️
Would love to see a video of your property from when you bought it through today. You all have did so much work it's incredible.
It’s fun to re-watch older video’s. You could go back to when they first moved in and did a tour🌸
Go back and look at older videos. There’s no way they could put together a video to cover all that!
@@jgwood10 if they were Ordinary People I would agree but they're extraordinary people!
I love how Lauras videos make you feel like you're just chatting up your neighbor on how their day has been going, makes me wanna get my fingers in some soil.
How wonderful that you go check on your grandparents and help them out. That’s what family’s about.
It’s so nice that you help your grandparents with their garden. I’m sure they appreciate it.
Look how different everything looks in just 2 years!!
You had a busy day today Laura in grandparents garden. What a lovely grand daughter you are helping them in the garden. Boy there was a lot of fruit on that tree. And the tomatoes look a lot better now you cleaned it up.. Love the arch In there garden to. Yes you will have grass soon. No more soil storms for you soon. And can't wait to see your hartley when it's done exciting times.
It was great returning to your grandparents’ place to see how it has changed. I take it your grandpa and grandma either weren’t home or are camera shy. Understandable. Always fun to see your family though. I love, love, love that members of both sides of your and Aaron’s family live close enough to visit one another. That’s such a gift! Your children will benefit from getting to know them just as you have. 💝 Blessings.
Dirty hands are the hallmark of a busy gardener!! I live near Pittsburgh, PA and we are having hazing days due to the weather pattern bringing smoke from the west and down from Canada... Prayers to all affected by the wildfires... may you all be safe....
You are such a beautiful person! And to still have your grandparents, is such a blessing! Don't worry about dirty hands. Any true gardener, can relate. The grass is going to be beautiful! Good job, Aaron!
Hear me out, would you ever consider offering a Garden Answer stamped line of gardening stuff (wood handled garden tools, terra cotta pots, glass domed terrariums, or leather garden journal, etc)?
Oh, a GA garden journal will definitely be on my Christmas list, if they existed
So super cool that you still have your grandparents!💓
I love going over to my mother & mother-in-law's house to do yard work. It's like a blank canvas. Thank You for sharing 🐝
💕 what a fun video! You were so chipper, made me smile feeling your energy today!
You are so sweet to help out your Grandparents garden. It is so nice to know that kindness is still alive and doing well.
You and Aaron will be such Wonderful models for your children to lean from. I truly enjoy your channel and thank you for sharing your gifts with all of your viewers.💕
This video really touched my heart. What a blessing to have such a loving granddaughter, and TO LIVE CLOSE TO ONE ANOTHER! Never take that for granted! 🌸💜
Hmmmm...note to self: GET TONS of Buckwheat as armor against those pesky squash bugs! Thanks, Grandpa, for the clever idea!
Laura, "Also I like working in other people's gardens"...uh, ya wanna come to Nashville!? :D
Yep, added to list. Though my pest issue is a raccoon taking my squash right as it's ready to pick. 😡
@@lisacheezecheeze1002 ooooh, I'm so sorry! They're kind of cute to watch, but stealing the produce would anger me, too! :(
Hello Laura! This is exciting concerning the Hartley! Thanks for taking us to visit the grandparents. Be safe!
Laura!! Grandpa needs a Hoselink for his birthday or anniversary or Christmas!!!
Yeah, I was wondering why they don't have one. Didn't they have like a dozen of them in one video?
Laura, looks like your grandparents need one Hose Link. That was so sweet of you to do their weeding, trimming and thinning. Such a sweet grand daughter. Kudos to Aaron on getting the grass planted. Easy to remember the date🍅🍅🍅
LOL 😂😂LOL A 11:30 RUSSELL TRANQUILLE TRAVERSE LE DESERT 😽😸😹😼😹👍😂
We can tell how excited you are for the new greenhouse! Your grandparents garden / orchard is beautiful. The pond is fantastic!
Go Aaron! You will be the neighborhood hero👑. Can’t wait for the green. Laura, you are so sweet to help your grandparents. Those memories will always be with you. Good job, GA. Another good video. 👏🏻💕👏🏻
Can you please go in to more detail about the “buckwheat” in your Grandpa’s garden? I am soooo interested! We lost a LOT of our garden this year to squash beetles, so I would LOVE to try this next year!
Laura, you can work in my garden any day!! How much fun would it be if you could win a day for Laura to help you in your garden? Think my wife would rather go antiquing with her lol. Always a joy to watch!
The minute you start talking about the Hartley I feel the excitement rising within me-it is a thrill to watch the excitement in you eyes and face! A greenhouse such as the Hartley had been a lifelong dream for me. It is a thrill to see that dream realized for such nice people as you and Aaron 😊
Love watching you help your grandparents. That is how it is supposed to be. So glad your grass seeded. Can't wait to see a sea of green.
Also please show us an update on the Hartley!!
Yay grass!! 🙌🙌🙌 I know you have been waiting patiently, but longingly. 😄 Sounds like much of the destruction is beginning to return to order, which is always a good feeling!
I love that you give your grandparents a hand. It’s hard for us older people to crawl around on the ground to pull weeds. Yes! Aaron 400 lbs lbs of grass seed! I feel like my hands and nails stay dirty during the summer. I’m also barefoot in my garden. Thank goodness for pumice stones!
I'm in Virginia and it's hazy here. The news said it is because of the fires in Oregon. That's crazy
Yeah, it even reached the NY-Metro area. Crazy.
Three (and soon 4) generations of gardeners - wonderful legacy!!
Your grandparents are lucky to have you and Aaron around to help maintain their garden. You did a great job on their yard.
Be thankful for your dry Climate. I live in Kentucky, the southern part, and all my peaches rotted on the tree. It was loaded! We had way too much rain and humidity
Love those tomato cages at your grandparents.
Cooler day, Hartley going up, grass going in--it's a great day!!!
Good morning everyone!🌄🌻
Good morning Garden Answer friends. Laura, your excitement gets me pumped and ready to handle whatever comes my way each day. ❤️🙏🌸🪴😂 Gardening genes run deep in your family. ❤️❤️❤️ Now ready to have a great day. ♥️ Thank you!!!!
So much energy! So inspiring! I need to tell my friend she should go ahead and plant her grass seed. 👍👍❤
Thanks, it is always so interesting to see others’ garden set-up, plants and crops !
You are so blessed to have your parents and your grandparents.
My grandpa grew two rows of gorgeous roses in their small (very slanted) back yard, and I always admired that. I wish he was still around for me to work with! Wonderful that you can help out a bit! 💗
Oh my gosh, you still have your Grandparents? Count your blessings! I lost my last one in my early 20's... Boy I miss them! I would have loved to see your Grandparents house too... I am amazed that they are still gardening...
How blessed you are to still have your grandparents and parents. 💕
I always play "Where's Cheddar" when I watch these videos.
Hi Laura! That was so sweet of you to help out your Grandparents with their garden area. They have such a beautiful yard/garden. Yes to getting the seeds planted for the grass. I hope they do really well! Thank you so much for sharing!
You two are so great together, awesome team. We haven’t seen cloud here in over a month so, happy you’ve had some relief! Drought is scary business. Your channel is chock full of information, humour and love! Can’t wait for the next” Hey everybody how’s it go’n?” Grandparents, parents, you two and your children, wonderful family unit! Thanks for all the time and effort you both put in to have us be a small part of your journey! ❣️
