Nice video. Great loop. Just keep in mind that the North Fork trail is up only for bikes ND Middle Flagline had annual wildlife closure until August 15. Highly recommended loop.
I have just worked out a loop using these trails for our trip to Bend in June. I have never ridden in Bend and I was wondering how good the signage was especially along these trails. I don't have a cell phone so I don't have access to Trailforks.
For this ride I climbed up the trail beside the Tulomu Falls trail and looped counter clockwise to ride down Middle Flagline and then South Fork. These trails are all clear where to go. But you could also do the shuttle up the highway to near the top of Middle Flagline (near the ski hill) and then ride back down into town. If you do this second option, you will need to ride more trails down the mountain which are less signed and obvious. If you do that, then you probably want to get a map. In a separate ride, I rode numerous other trails, and found that some were closed due to forest harvesting. So, again, you might want to check in with the local bike shops with your plan. For another fast, fun, flowy trail, you might also want to look into the Lower Tiddlywinks trail. Thanks for watching.
Also, if you ride in June, this is a fairly high elevation trail and so might still have snow on it. So, check with local bike shops to see if the trail has opened up.
Thanks for the info. Just wanted to know if there was signage and it sounds like there is. I will check for conditions the closer we get to the ride time.
Thanks Ron! Looking to ride this one this week!
Yes, its a great cross-country trail with a very interesting climb and a beautiful, loamy, flowy descent! Thanks for watching!
Enjoyed that one Ron. I particularly appreciate a summary of the distance/time etc. Looks like a loop to add to my list. Thanks.
Yes add that to your list. I would definitely do that trail again, but it’s a big day so be prepared…
