As first reported by IGN, Turtle Beach has dropped Dr Disrespect. The headset maker quietly deleted all mentions of the streamer on its website, including the $200 Dr Disrespect branded merch.
It comes as a Bloomberg report corroborates allegations he sexted a minor on Twitch. Dr Disrespect confirmed he sent messages to a minor on Twitch which allegedly led to his ban. Saying there weren’t “real intentions” sounds like someone who got caught doing something before going to far or else he would’ve.
Looking at this purely though Twitch's eyes (and lawyers), I'm assuming that someone said something to Twitch that raised a red flag. They dug into his DM's and found the proof that they needed to ban him. Then Guy in turn sued them for violation of his privacy (IE reading his private DM's) and they paid him out his contract for his silence on the matter. It's the only thing that would make sense, especially in this age of scrutiny on these big tech companies like Facebook and Google playing big brother, and can do whatever with your data and whatnot. Twitch didn't want that heat for violating their top streamers privacy, so they buried it and him. But hey, that's just a theory.....

They kept quiet because they couldn't establish anything inappropriate. Casual and basic conversation was had between an adult and a minor, and when nothing sexual has happened or they've never met, Twitch can't establish any wrongdoing because realistically, it's just not there. This could also have been the woman with whom he said he was unfaithful to back when he admitted to cheating, because it was in the same year.
It looks even worse for them if they withheld the info.

You are missing the Twitch Email which clarifies the situation. In the end it wasn't anything devious or terrible. Twitch clarified that no sexting occurred or grooming the minor was 17. Twitch's description of the communication was that it was a business discussion. Under the law a 17 year old can't legally make a business deal without a parents or guardians approval. Twitch has no reason to lie about anything so it seems truly like a misunderstanding more than anything else.

And Twitch does not want the kind of attention this sort of thing brings and the official (state and Federal) authorities developing an interest in looking in their direction. I suspect there is a scandal brewing in the secretive heart of Twitch, and it's only a matter of time until it bursts like a ripe boil.
