I have personally dealt with a person like Jada. She is textbook aging narcissist. The thought process of putting down others to appear higher is the desperate need to gain the power they know they are running out of time to get. I think Jada was promise and sold by everyone else (her mum, her PR, whatever) that she will have it all with this arranged marriage. Over the years she realised she have sacrificed her youth (the only thing Hollywood cares about of a women), her time and energy into building the Smith family brand. Now that Will Smith is built up with such a likeable image, Will Smith probably also put it down on her that she can’t leave because it will tarnish the brand. Over the years she realised she have sacrificed her youth (the only thing Hollywood cares about of a women), her time and energy into building the Smith family brand.
