When I spotted the 8th hole at MVP Open this year, James had missed the island green and I had to chase him down to return his Holy Shot stamped Terra that he had forgotten about after making the drop zone putt. Happy to see it show up in this video.
He had some in his previous in the bag. My guess is that he cycles through these discs and won't always bag every mold if there's too much overlap. He's also not bagging the Fireball, currently, though he was when he did his last ITB a year ago.
I think he wanted the zenith to be in between photons and waves. A lot of players want that disc but the Zenith just flies weird in my opinion. Even at my arm speed it just feels like a touchy disc like you can’t depend on it. Me and all my disc golf friends bag MVP and none of us can get the zenith to quite fly the way we want it to. It didn’t quite fill the slot James had envisioned I think.
I think the Terra was meant to solve that Fireball dilemma. I love and bag the fireball, but that thing really is meaty. Knowing James, he probably wanted an OS fairway that he could get to fly straight for longer. It’s basically a volt with no turn and more fade.
Was hoping to see an Inertia. It's my new favorite coming in to explore mvp discs. I'd love to see what kind of shots a pro can shape with that beauty.
As a 95% backhand player, it seems I'm doing something right when 50% of my bag is the same as James's. Main difference is the 6 speeds where I have Clash, 2 Servos and a Resistor, and the putters, but that's because I don't putt with the Nomad and I haven't beat my Envies enough to replace the Proxys yet.
I'm guessing he wanted a slightly less stable photon so they made the zenith. But then when they did the photon in fission plastic it must have flown how James wanted the zenith to be.
This is one of the better in the bags I’ve seen this year as far as editing, keeping it brief and music choice

Photon has been in fission since before they picked James up I'm pretty sure. He's been throwing those since just about the beginning.
