    Ever wonder why Jesus was so angry at the people selling animals in the Temple? In this video... we explain!
    Mat 21:12 And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all who sold and bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons.
    Mat 21:13 He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you make it a den of robbers.”

    He totally had a right to be angry. It's called righteous indignation. He was totally pissed that these jackasses were turning his Father's house into a den of thieves instead of a house of prayer and worship.

      I totally get the bit on why He got angry, I'm just not sure if that was the best reaction? What happened to controlling our anger?

    • @PrincessZeeBee
      @PrincessZeeBee 3 роки тому +1

      @@julietmoraa5106 well it's like this, yes it's true we were told that we were supposed to have self control. But it said we're made in God's image right? Well we have many sides and many emotions although we are falling and imperfect, but Jesus, He was God in the flesh. Okay so if you had a bunch of kids and say while you were gone on a trip they had a bunch of parties, tore up your house, and made your house a den of thieves. Do you really think you would come up in your house and confront your kids all calm and shit. I don't think so. God gets angry. If you're any kind of a Christian and you've read the Bible you've seen his anger in his rap and the Old testament and even his anger and judgment and wrath in the New testament because he's the same yesterday, today and forever. So if you don't agree with that, that's fine, but it's really sad that the supposed body of Christ is always criticizing each other and are divided. Jesus is not coming back for a whore in a stained dress just remember that.

      @@PrincessZeeBee Thanks. I've been thinking about it, and what you said was part of what, in my mind, I considered might answer the question. Also, I wasn't critisizing, I have genuinely been trying to understand some of what may be perceived as unholy behavior from our Savior.

      I didn't realize how bad it was either. I was surprised to see just how deep the corruption ran in the Jewish elite. There are several other historical sources that talk about corruption in other areas of Jewish life. It is definitely an interesting study.

    Thank you so much for this! This is helping me with a sermon I am working on so way to have that knowledge! I think I remember my children's pastor also bringing up how animals would be reused since the ones buying the animals never got to see the full sacrifice taking place. This way the temple didn't have to waste their healthy animals.

    Thank you thank you thank you for being so on point in all that you stated. Very great research on this topic. I did a UA-cam video somewhat similar concerning Extortioners, Embezzlers, Liars, Thieves, Manipulators, etc,. wearing "suits, dresses, etc" about using "objects" that we do see in the Bible being used at one time or another, not often, but ONLY surrounded a particular person's situation and that's all NOT to trick, coerce, swindle, or any words alike people into "sowing a seed" and believing when the so-called "free items" are sent to them the "things" not Jesus is going to deliver them from all their troubles. Excellent work!

    Good topic and great info! Saddening that these greedy religious leaders won't even spare the temple of God. Their overwhelming iniquities, both the rulers and their hypocrite followers, is why Jerusalem and the temple were destroyed twice. And history just repeats itself, still happening nowadays. False preachers/religious leaders who makes money out of religion.
    Micah 3:10-12
    10 They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity. 11 The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us. 12 Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.

    If you can explore the purity of the coins, I would appreciate it. I heard once that this was the only official place they could exchange their money to get the correct coin they needed so as to pay the tax. In exchanging their currency, I heard they were ripped off as the purity (i.e. silver or gold content) of the coins they were giving was higher than what was being returned.
    I also heard that Jesus went twice to the same place, making a rukus i.e. at the beginning and at the end of his ministry. There would have been many preachers claiming to be the Messiah at that time but he was the one that disrupted business, so needed to be eliminated.

    So since we are the temple. What if he is angry just about people in general tempting believers and continually trying to justify and encouraging wrong doing leading followers of Christ down the wrong path. And this story was just an expression of his anger. Like he's table flipping mad.
