If you think about it, all the advantages he gained was cause of Steve... Tony made him evil by creating Ultron and causing his family's death. Steve gave him the weapon to take them down. He's Tony's creation, but descended from Steve Rogers....

Being the enemy or the ally, Zemo didn’t move an inch from his own mission, bringing an end to the super-soldiers. Saying that, his perspective changed about Bucky, same as Steve.
How nice to find a flaw.
Although not stated, I like to think that Zemo was THE BIGGEST reality check for all the heroes. In the beginning we see that he wants revenge for the ones he lost, but then you also see that he doesn’t want super powered people running around to make a mess of everything. He doesn’t want power, he doesn’t want control, he is just doing what he believes is necessary for the world to live peacefully. He may be a bad guy but he doesn’t care what anyone thinks. He just is.
I gained so much respect for him when he didn't take the serum. Not corrupted. Not a hypocrite. Just a man with a different agenda.

Nah, it was built off the backs of great layered characters... villains and heroes alike. In fact, they started with the heroes first.
They only did good villains after their heroes were good. And they had success before they had good villains (minus Loki; but they kinda made Thor boring instead).
@@TheDeathmail In their defense: Even comic Thor was always pretty boring. Only Ultimate Universe Thor was pretty interesting. And that's because everyone was unsure that he wasn't just a scientist turned new age guru after a psychotic break.

It's very smart on Marvel's part too. They've expandex on a brilliant villan, who feels more vigilante at times than evil. Imo, morally gray characters are always the best ones.

I never realised how much Zemo and Kilgrave (Jessica Jones) are alike until I saw this edit, which reminded me of a Kilgrave edit with the same song. I mean, they are both stylish manipulative villains with personal goals that are not cliche lie "rule the world" or "destroy the world", have strong European accents, steal the show, are played by extremely talented actors and have a thing for the colour purple.
Give me an intelligent, sarcastic, chaotic anti villain anytime. Like if that’s on the menu, count me in for dinner
