It's the reason he said no...boring af yankees dugout with the worst fans of any sport and their stupid rules. " hey Mr multi-millionare adults... no beards while A GAME!! "
Sotos contract is worth up to 850+ millions with the add ons he left for 100M extra bucks not because he wanted to be a met yall Mets fans still can’t admit the Yankees making great moves wit the saved money😂
@ nope the suite and possibly private jet we don’t know for sure yet bring it way higher also his contract sets a precedence for people to demand extra from the Mets where they wouldn’t from other franchises
@ I never said they cost 50M I’m saying over times that’s millions of dollars worth nobody was even close to yall Soto bid for a reason because nobody wanted him for that much he came for the money if not why did yall outbid yallselves so much?
@JAC315 the cost of his contract is $765 million. The added $50 million kicks in if he opts out after 2029, which he will. This negates his opt out and automatically increases his AAV for the remainder of the contract. You originally said his contract was worth $850 million, and it isn't, its worth $805 million. Then you said "nope the suite and possibly private jet we don't know for sure yet bring it way higher also". Since there is no jet and his suite costs approximately $1 million per season, they are not paying your original quote of $850 million. It's a good thing to have the option negate clause in his contract, Soto can't renegotiate or seek more money from another team at that time. That could potentially be more expensive for the Mets and they want to keep Soto for the remainder of his career. The extra incentives were the way to make their bid stand out over the Yankees, which was something the Yankees were unwilling to do.
If you think that paying a .280 hitter that will see his 40-ish HR's dwindle to about 30 in Citi Field for $51 Mil a year without Judge (the best player in the AL) behind him- you're drinking the Kool Aid. Soto is a good player, but he ain't $51 Mil good, especially if Alonso leaves. Have fun watching $51 mil walk and the Soto shuffle (arrogance). This guy can't carry the Mets. He's actually a terrible RF as well. Enjoy 15 years of one of the hardest RF's in all of baseball after he demonstrated that he clearly couldn't handle one of the easiest in Yankee Stadium. Enjoy your victory Mets fans. Personally I think the Yankees dodged a bullet. BTW Soto is more likely closer to 30 than 25. This is pretty common in the Dominican Republic.
@ Once it got to $700 mil I didn’t want him any more for reasons listed above. Definitely not crying about it. I like what the Yanks have done so far and I think they’ll ultimately be a better team when it’s all said and done- given the price. Cohen made it clear- money is nothing. I’m curious to see how he fills out the rest of the roster. Is a big payday for Alonso next???
@Joey-ik6er pretty sure I said the same thing in the video about this possibly being a good thing for the Yankees. Would be better to talk about than all the reasons Soto is "not worth it". I won't refute his defense not being worth it but it's not like they can't transition him to first base or DH as time goes on. The ballpark thing is false, but it's a common misconception that Soto's offense will get worse at Citi Field in comparison to Yankee Stadium. Check out Baseball Savant and see his expected home runs to see for yourself. I do think they will resign Alonso ultimately, but if not they will likely just sign Bregman and move Vientos to 1st base. It's a good lateral move.
Yankee tears! Feed me more!
I LIKE BOTH TEAMS BUT THE YANKEES ARE DOING MUCH BETTER IN FREE AGENCY;
They were 82-80 the year before without Soto. First they have to make up for that offense they just lost.
It's December mets will do more
Loved the “brothers” metaphor

Judge didn't see a World Series until Soto showed up. And Soto has ALREADY WON A WORLD SERIES with forgetable guys hitting behind him.
I’m a Yankees fan listening to this show. Your show is good, keep up the good job.
