To make ice faster, whatever cubes you don't use, put them back in the water if you can. If not, put water in the fridge so that the water is almost at freezing. The cubes will come out better and faster.

Interesting review. I do agree that the $1500+ price tag definitely makes that fridge a camping luxury. I could see folks with camping vans and truck campers finding it useful.

@@wanderlust62 😱 I've watched many camping videos and I've yet to see one camper who has an ice maker. Of course, they don't need them in the winter. For those who "live" in their camper vans/trucks, a small fridge/freezer that connects to a power station would be a better and less expensive option.

niceeeeeeeee fridge/freezer hey. and as a thought, if needed while camping that little bit of clean water you drained from the fridge could be used to drink etc if needed or ya could wash ya hands or face in it to refresh ya self when ya short on water . ps looking forward to your next camping video. hope the family is well, and pats for poochy of course.

Can't find the EcoFlow Fridge at either link. Page not found at Amazon and the link to Ecoflow has lots of products - but couldn't find the Fridge. Who needs ice cubes when camping? However, I like their generators and solar panels for power outages around the house.

How long does the battery life ACTUALLY work with one side as freezer, one side as fridge and no ice making?

I saw a review of this fridge from another camping channel, but your review is much more thorough. Question. With that adapter. I can just plug it in and run on electricity, right? Or is it for charging the battery only?
Thanks! You can just plug it in and it will run the fridge if the battery is not installed. If the battery is installed it will charge the battery while still running the fridge 👍

How much does it cost...
There's a link in the description to their website. They ain't cheap.
Perhaps I'm missing something (I'm not), but, it would save you about $500+ to just buy a 12 volt, dual zone and a zip lock bag. Put however much ice you want, from home, or at a convenience store (some do not charge for a 40oz cup of ice........go NUTS and get TWO 40oz cups of ice........even if they charge you .75 for it), put the ice in the zip lock bag, put the bag in your 12v freezer. Now, you've saved $500, you have ice whenever you want it, without having to wait 15 minutes, you draw less energy, and, on a similar sized cooler, you now have that additional compartment space.
This ice maker seems more like a (+$500) gimmick, the cubes are small, and when it breaks, that's essentially dead space that could have been used for a larger compartment.
Its nearly 1000 dollars

That's a beautiful piece of equipment. Expensive though. In emergency situations you'd be the hit of the calamity. A must along with a generator and water filtration system. Pardon the prepper in me.
