MEAN HIVE GONE QUEENLESS

I have a really #meanhive and was doing a #hiveinspection and didn't fine any #brood and decided to move eggs from a gental hive to this hive , there may be a virgin queen running around but at least the frame of eggs will tell me whats going on in the hive.

good call. when they requeen add some capped brood and they will be back up to speed before you know it

I'm with Russell K. I've always put eggs in the lower box but darn, in the top to save time. Understanding the behavior reversion but considering the volume of eggs maybe a shake of nurses could help in feeding while keeping the field force strong? This one, really looking towards an update!

Wow, they were hot. How do you know, if you still have enough nurse bees to take care of the new eggs? and they haven't all turned to field bees ?

the field bees will revert and go back to making a queen cell, but i have a feeling there's a virgin queen in there the way they were clearing out spots for a queen to lay.

@@KajunHomestead That is why I would have put the frame of eggs in the top box, then I could check back in three days and see. But then I'm lazy. LOL It should work out one way or another.
