Sporty body for a Pierce, looks good without sidemounts. Nice paint scheme with correctly painted not chromed wheels. Lube the speedometer cable. Fix things like that b e f o r e offering a car for sale, especially one as fine, rare as this.
Those headlights are classic and timeless. I remember seeing a Pierce Arrow woody wagon some years ago at a show at Chesterwood in Stockbridge, MA. (The estate of Daniel Chester French, sculptor of the Lincoln Memorial.) How many of those could have been built, let alone survive to this day? My dad told me that before he was born his father picked up a Pierce Arrow for a song during the Depression and just drove it as a regular car. Didn't know what model it was though, as my Grandfather didn't know or recall. That would be some money in the bank now, no matter what model or body style she was.
Pierce-Arrow was equal to or even surpassing Rolls Royce as far as build quality and design. There has been nothing like it before of since. This is an absolutely stunning example. In 1934 there were 3 Very high quality auto makes, Peerless, Packard and Pierce-Arrow. None of these survived the Depression.
