    For anybody wondering the easiest way. I put the tar and wax on there and I let it sit there for like 10 minutes until the wax turns brown once it does it wipes right off 1 or two wipes.

    I can actually vouch for the Turtle Wax on tar, I had to apply 2 times in some places but it was little effort.

    What do you guys mean by apply protection? I have specs of tar all over my car and need to remove it but I don’t know what to do with the protection part

    • @PureOctaneGarage
      @PureOctaneGarage  3 роки тому

      Great question Caleb. These products and others like them tend to strip off any wax or sealants (sometimes coatings too). We are just reminding viewers that use these products to reapply wax, sealant, or coating (protection) on the areas these are used. Thanks for watching.

    if you have one of the wraps or surface coatings you may want to skip the wd 40 , it might dissolve that coating. be careful

    So am I able to use this to get rid of asphalt that has splashed on my vehicle.?

    • @PureOctaneGarage
      @PureOctaneGarage  2 роки тому

      This will rid the tar from the asphalt...if you have large contaminants be very careful, you might need to soak with vinegar and try to spray away. You might need to compound/polish the area to rid of the scratches incurred from the removal. Good luck and thanks for watching.

      You should be safe. We haven't had any problems, but keep in mind the sponge, towel, rag, etc. that you are using, that can be the most dangerous. Great question. Thanks!

    Couldn't recommend this product for tar. I sprayed it twice over most of my car, using up a whole bottle. To no effect. None of the tar started melting and I wasnt able to wipe it away without scrubbing hard. I washed the car and next day tried with another product on half the car: Carpro Tarx, this worked brilliantly. The other part of the car received a treatment of Koch Chemie EULEX. This was fabulous and 95% of tar just melted away. I had to re-treat around 10 areas twice or so. But i never had to rub og scrub. Just microfiber wipe, and voilá

    It works better than what these guys portray it to be ,the turtle wax that is, you need to let it set for a fee minutes to penetrate

    • @PureOctaneGarage
      @PureOctaneGarage  4 роки тому +2

      Agreed. Turtle Wax does recommend letting the product penetrate the stain for one minute. In this case the tar was pretty old/baked on, so it took a little more elbow grease. Thank you for watching!
