Magnus Carlsen vs Viswanathan Anand "Flogging a Dead Andalusian" Carlsen - Anand World Championship Match (2014) #chess #chessgame #magnuscarlsen #carlsen #anand
bishop to 2 isolated pawn is a fair trade. specially it is almost an end. those 2 pawns will be unstoppable to march. And you set the fight on the other side since all your pawns will be there.
The most funny thing in chess history is that so many people believed that Magnus stripped Anand of his title by outplaying him,. If someone would repeat the video recording of the games and observe carefully they would see for sure how Anand was disgusted by little boy mistakes and lack of experience.
Anand was trying to draw the entire game, exchanging queens, going for opposite color bishops, etc. Once last white pawn was taken, game had to be a draw unless Anand blunders so it was pointless to play it out.
"An that is why no one will remember your name!" The point is that the knight & rook are very tricky pieces. Yes, theoretically it is a draw, but it is actually a mine field that Anand must walk through unscathed.
@@kingsgambit7098 it might be tricky for us but not for a former world champion, so if anything, it seemed disrespectful to keep playing, unless Anand was in time pressure.
@@yitwailu2 It is tricky for everyone. Even a world champion. It is because this is the world championship title match that Magnus must force Anand to walk through this death trap. It would be disrespectful not to play out every potential chance in a victory. If we all thought in the same perspective that you have no one would play chess, because it is technically a draw from move one.
@@kingsgambit7098 I respectfully disagree. With no pawns left on the board, Anand would have to blunder away his rook to lose the game, but that’s just my opinion, and I certainly don’t equate that with the start of the game, where not even AlphaZero can compute the outcome of every game in advance.
@@yitwailu2 I understand where you are coming from, but I have been playing chess for over a decade and can tell you that chess is in fact a draw from the starting position. It has been known for a very long time. An we are only human. None of us play 100% perfect. Not even the engines we design.
nice game between carlsen vs anand in 2014, made similar topic about chess too on my channel, any feed back is greatly appreciate, all the best, thank you
Anand has missed many chances of winning this game .

Can anyone give me a link for this music please?
Who won this game ?
Carlsen
It's a draw. That is the reason it is 1/2 - 1/2
Anand was careless with his pawn advantage. Sad hugs ISH
Really long game I’m thinking it’s going to end in a draw I’m surprised the players did not agree to a draw
🎉
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Their is so many mistakes done by Vishwanath Anand
Such a long Game!!!
Good music. Entertaining.
I lost my mind when they were playing with those rooks and the knight
We are proud of VISHY ANAND
At 7:11, would it not be great for Anand to move roc to D6?
I think because of the knight maneuver..he didn't do that
Why did Anand gave up bishop to capture a pawn? Was it deliberate or a blunder ?
I also think it's a blunder.waste of bishop.
I think it is to prevent those pawns from becoming queens.

In my opinion, the ideal here would be a simple sound of chess pieces
I like that
Very poorly played by both, both was having a good chance to win.
Not sure why is supposed to be so great. after the bishop sacrifice it's hard to win for either side (yet easy to lose)
Yes.bishop wasted.

Draw?
Not that too tough between worldwinners

And still got stripped off his title
Anand missed many chances..
Visvanathan clearly making three big mistakes at last moments
Jugaron unos 20 movimientos adicionales.
They just don’t know how to play chess 😂
WOW
I can't believe I watched this crap all the way through...smh..yea, I'm stupid..
The end game got so boring. Thanks God I skipped almost 10 min to find the game drown beg your pardon drawn.
Why did Magnus let the pawn on c7 dangle so long and never take?
Yeah good question, I was wondering too
No defense whatsoever... attacking by both sides from start...
4:21 - Black castle could've taken white castle safely

The Bishop move was nice by white daring black rook to take white rook than the bishop would capture again checking black king and stealing rook
Vishwanathan => 5 IS wana than => 5 IS wana than => 5 Irina Spitskaya want Money
Personaly i wouldn t sacrifice a bishop for a knight rather a tower i try to aim for towers with my bishops and queen they most dangerous weapons
