This album... 17 years after discovering it is still a constant source of convalesence for me. A vibe that helps me access my emotions, I'm normally cut off from.
@@Msfracture i don't know what a legit head is bro, but i am pretty sure that identifing things as mainstream is definitely mainstream and expanding the meaning of the word "mainstream" to the MAIN stream it includes literally anyting, legit heads (whatever it means) too! Anyway it's funny visualizing music, try it out! I'm pretty sure everybody can write down a more intresting vision than the one i wrote last year when the thing i mostly desired was an orgy, through this incredibly good tune images flow like a dream, i love it. @@scruvydom just my opinion. It just feels out of place to me, tbf it's literally the only thing I even remotely dislike on this entire album, it's a masterpiece
I know we're intended to be enthralled by the beats, but I'm not. The upbeat rhythms just don't match the gloomy atmospherics. Moby is so much better than this
Have you listened to the rest of the album? The beats in some of the other tracks are more what you'd expect with the atmospherics, more moody. But Burial himself said that this album is muted/downcast euphoria, rather than just downcast like his first album. So the contrast between the upbeat and moody is supposed to be there. Might just not be your cup of tea, but I'm a fan of the contrast!
Aged like a fine wine
Indeed
Also didn't know Albert Camus was back from the dead :)

it's not out of tune, it's just burial's trademark weird sense of melody

Yup. Cuz It is litterary Dub + twoStep. Thats the fundermantal definition of Dubstep.
Moby 😂 this is too complex for you and what you’re clearly used to...

@@hamsterfloat Imagine that. Saying Burial is Dubstep in 2019. It's Lo-Fi Future Garage, Ambient, Deep House, etc. It's anything _but_ Dubstep.
