I know this is mostly filler but this probably my favorite fight in the anime😂I just love how dire the situation is and how Goku and Buu are just going blow-for-blow, and Vegeta's reactions in the side are just perfect too. I love Goku and Gohan's fights with Perfect Cell a lot too for the same reasons but Idk in those scenes I'm always thinking "its ok because Goku and Gohan are both holding back anyways" so the stakes are lower. The Buu Saga is soo underrated for that reason, I also really really like Majin Vegeta and Goku's fight even though its lower stakes its at the cost of RELEASING BUU I just love this arc even though the writing and pacing are all over the place. Every arc after this tried to recreate the tension and I only ever felt it again in the Baby Saga. I really want them to continue Super so we can have the Moro/Granolah sagas animated.
You have to think about it back then. We didn't know how strong buu was but we knew from freiza because of his words from his father "do not ever fight majin buu or beerus" as his warning. Then in hell you can see Frieza shake as the man who killed him is able to fight the monster that his dad warned him about. And we just watch as Goku vs buu unfolds like an amazing match we waited for
1:16 the absolute detail in the scene here. It shows that Buu underestimated Goku and thought he could brush him aside like any other whelp and was instantly proven wrong. After he reforms from being blasted, he laughs with excitement knowing that this was the battle he was waiting for since he was first conceived. Using Kid buu's expressions and sudden gestures to convey his thoughts without him saying a word is remarkable writing imo

Buu sage gets so much hate for what? The fight choreography is the best in all of Z. This fight, majin vegeta fight, and super buu fights are some of the best in the series IMO

The only thing I don't like about buu is he is basically made indestructible by the writers due to his immense healing capabilities. Heck even he heals by the vapours. Goku defeated him several times in this clips only but he kept coming back. Jiren on the other hand is just incredibly strong and nigh invulnerable and doesn't heal like buu. That's a great opponent to see against saiyajins

I always found it interesting that Kid was really wasn't all that strong. There were so many attacks from goku and vegeta that if it wasn't for buu regenerating would of died. Buu's biggest strength is his ability to wear people down. Also shoutout @ 7:22 one of my favorite moments. The Goku stare
At 7:30 Goku states Buu is twice as strong and fast as he was before. Alot of people think Kid Buu was weak, but this simply isn't true. Strongest Buu form!
All 3 major DBZ villains (Frieza, Cell, and Buu) fit into the classic archetypes: Frieza - the ominus powerful tyrant Cell - the one who attains power through copying/absorbing others Buu - the mindless, destructive monster

goku commenting that his speed/power is 2x what is was b4 and ppl wanna still say superbuu is stronger. super buu is still a form of buu trying to make the absorbtion work out. after that fat kai buu got messed up. super buu was a step in the direction of recovery. all the other absorbtions only made him play with his food more and have new techniques

He states that he is the most powerful Djinn that the world has ever seen, past or present. The problem with that statement is that it directly contradicts Toriyama's own statement in an interview where he states that one of the most fearful things about Buu is that Buu does not even know his own strength. Gohan, at one point, during the Buu arc was the strongest character. Toriyama has stated that he did want Gohan to become the main protagonist of Dragon Ball but he ultimately decided not to make him the strongest. This is shown when Gohan faces against Buutenks. Goku powers down in front of Buu and says "You don't expect to beat me like that, do you?" He also states "...even Gohan could take you now." So, yes, SSJ3 Goku would beat Gohan. Not in the beginning of the Super Buu battle but definitely during the Kid Buu fight. Buuhan is not the stronger Buu as he has no access to his true power being that the kaioshin is suppressing his power from inside of him. This is shown directly in the manga when the kai states that Buu "...gained a heart through the absorptions which weakened him." Buuhan, at the height of his power, attempted to collapse the material world and fails when Vegito punches him out of his rage. Kid Buu not only accomplished destroying Earth and multiple planets, but he also waltzed into Other World and began beating up souls (like be for fucking real) then began to collapse Heaven. Heaven would be layers upon layers beyond the material world. The feats of each character alone show that Kid Buu is stronger.

Even though that isn't directly stated or shown in the manga or anime, it is funny to think that all Kid Buu would've had to do was absorb either Goku or Vegeta during that entire fight but he doesn't. And the statements from the manga and show directly tell that the absorptions were not good for Buu.
