It's like another old saying (I'll write in portuguese because I don't know how should be in english): "O ouro só é forjado no fogo" It means something like: It's necessary to pass the gold through fire to reveal its real value. And the curiosity about the pine leaves reminds me fable the grasshopper and the ant. Thank you for share it to us. These lessons are truly treasures 🙏
There is this epic amazing South Korean movie CONFUCIUS with actor Chow Yun-Fat and actress Xun Zhou. The story about the children of poor parents sacrificed for the Gods was heartbreaking. Confucius changed these rituals, told the rich, that it’s hypocrisy to sacrifice these children instead of their own ones. He was a giant in philosophy, and practicing it.
Its admirable to see you practicing your arts. In a world that is slowing consuming itself in modernism, it warms my heart to see people like you practicing mindfulness and tradition.
Linda mensagem! Sim. Agora as folhas verdes brilham e as flores desabrocham. Gratidão 🙏🌿
Watching you from Romania 🇷🇴 🇰🇷 We have hash winters too, a very similar weather. And ever since I've watched the Korean history drama Jewel of The Palace, I fell in love with Korean culture 🇰🇷
I live in Colorado and although I'm in the city our winter is beautiful. The snow brings a peaceful sense of being for me. I see this in your video as well.
These, slow and yet beautiful lessons are what we need in this modern society. I feel the world truly change and taking a step back from what ruined it, the fast paced addictive and dehumanized behaviors. Instead we see you practicing and creating, not consuming and wasting your life's energy. You show us how we were meant to live with nature. Thank you 😊
Thank you for sharing the words of Confucius - we grow wise in silence and nature and we can lose our way in the rush of the world. The forest is beautiful..,🙏✨
Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I’m glad there is someone who finds my content helpful. I’m also someone who is still learning. Best wishes on your journey 🙏
Wow, how wonderful and majestic nature, especially snow, has always fascinated me since it doesn't snow much in my country. Thank you very much for sharing your life experience and your wise words. Love from Chile💋
just beautiful.. pine needles have exceptional medicinal and spiritual properties, and for making tea.. i think in Korea white pines are used for tea? love the video feeling keep it up!❤
Wonderful content! I like how you can learn from nature. We are nature, why wouldn't we be the same? But we forget that. Thank you for the reminder. I know what you mean about not being prepared for winter. I went from Phoenix, Arizona to a snowy climate 22 years ago. This winter was the snowiest. We got 58 feet of snow in 4 weeks. What martial art are you practicing. I do tai chi, but not sword work. It looks similar to the tai chi I practice.
I practice in freestyle. I learned little bit of Iaido and other branches of martial arts. I haven’t tried Kyudo, my brother is learning Korean traditional archery.

Are you practicing iaido? Have you read 'Zen in the Art of Archery' or tried Kyudo? I would love to try these but here in England it is very rare!
I practice in freestyle. I learned little bit of Iaido and other branches of martial arts. I haven’t tried Kyudo, my brother is learning Korean traditional archery.
Where can I buy that hat?
That's a traditional Korean hat called Nambawi. You can find them in Hanbok stores in Korea
