Brandon was one of many examples of production taking advantage of people with vulnerable mental health issues. He never should’ve been brought back simply for his, his family’s, and everyone else’s safety
According to Phillip, yes, it was a "tactical move." Again, I'm not sure what how much of this is truly "tactics" (yes, obviously, Phillip likes to play things up and make them sound more impressive than they actually are), but Brandon *was* standing near the machete, Phillip (and everyone else) knows that Brandon absolutely hates him, and at that moment, he has no idea what Brandon is about to do next! So yes, Phillip 100% made the right move and left immediately! Again, you don't have to be a former federal agent necessarily to know that, but it was a smart move by Phillip.
I remember the night this episode first aired. I was ready to shit myself even though I wasn’t even there because I was scared one of the other contestants would get hurt, and my parents were so shocked they couldn’t speak.
I think if I had to be stuck on an island with Phillip Sheppard, I’d lose my shit too. Survivor is obviously not a Hantz’s game, but Phillip didn’t really treat Brandon the best prior to his meltdown. In fact, I don’t think I’d last one day with Phillip.

I thought contestants had to pass some sort of mental and physical quaifications; must be in excellent mental and physical condition, according to experts. How did Brandon pass the mental part? lmao !
What I don’t get is why there was this big production at the challenge and why producers didn’t send him home right there. We know the team was instructed to vote him out. Why have that uncomfortable song and dance at the challenge?
I imagine it was to allow Brandon to try and save face. It clearly didn’t work (in the majority opinion) but an attempt was made. It could have been because the producers didn’t want their decision to put him on to be called a mistake or because they genuinely wanted Brandon to have a chance to make amends. Who knows.
What brandon did was highly disrespectful to not only the tribe but to his family that are watching him. Imagine what his kids think when they see their father acting like that. In my honest opinion, brandon should be the example for his kids
He’s challenging everyone in an attempt to prove he’s some kind of alpha. He needed to have his jaw rocked, But one time is never enough with people like him. He’d definitely try to fight you again, son you’d have to put him down twice to take him down a peg.
Purposely dumping out the rice and destroying the camp should have earned him an INSTANT ejection from the game. He shouldn't even have been allowed to go to that challenge and have an impromptu Tribal Council.
I'm betting family legacy. I'm not a super big Survivor fan. But even a causal fan like me knows who Russel Hanz is. So having someone from his family breeds tons of story hooks. I bet they were trying to build up the Hanz family as a Survivor clan, or like a Survivor royal family. But why Russel was clearly built for the game, Brandon wasn't. But the name carried him even though it was clear he couldn't handle a game like this.
What season is this? I just started watching the and I’ve been jumping around- suppose I could go to season 1 next but I’d happily take people’s favorite seasons!!!
annie shipp no its in the blood his uncle Russell is probably the least crazy he's a functioning psycho the rest are total psycho his father or uncle got expelled off Big Brother
They should have had the impact have more of an effect, just goes to show how much Survivor has changed, because it was like right after he did that, they got food and stuff again, if it was older seasons they'd be starving even more and hurting for a while at what happened.
They should of all told the camera guy they weren’t comfortable with him being there and they will leave if he stays. Jeff would of just kicked him out
This is SO funny now. I've heard all about it: behind the scenes, he asked production if he could throw this tantrum, but he had to agree not to throw any of the food in the fire. If this were a REAL tantrum, they wouldn't have been able to salvage their food sources. 100% made-for-TV.
By the way if you didnt know Brandon was trying to differentiate himself from Russell trying to say that the hantz name isnt all bad when hes more proving that it is (of course not everyone in the Hantz family is going to be a terrible person but the 2 that we know definitely are)
Personally I don’t think either of those three are the worst players ever! (Worse to make merge and personality yeah true) Because with people who survive a tribal or are being dragged as a goat atleast it shows that they can make it far. The worst of the worst players of all time don’t even make it that far and are usually taken out at the first tribal they attend.
he may have been banned for unsportsmanlike and toxic conduct, This is not how one fixes problems, throwing away the only source of energy for an ENTIRE tribe, And worst of all is that he got away with it since he was the author of his own destiny being evil, arrogant and temperamental

Who knows.
As Kevin Nealon once said, "psycho..."
my question i have is did host replace the rice?
Yes
0:47 I’m dying lmaoaoaoaknsehjd
jtia wishes she had the level of class brandon has in this scene
What brandon did was highly disrespectful to not only the tribe but to his family that are watching him. Imagine what his kids think when they see their father acting like that. In my honest opinion, brandon should be the example for his kids
He’s challenging everyone in an attempt to prove he’s some kind of alpha.
He needed to have his jaw rocked,
But one time is never enough with people like him.
You know if I had to play with Philip Sheppard I'd probably lose my mind too
Dang - They should've aired the reactions
I legit forgot that Eric played twice
They should’ve supplied them with more rice and beans that was uncalled for
For once, I'm agreeing with Corinne.
I never understood how Brandon earned a spot on FvF
I'm betting family legacy. I'm not a super big Survivor fan. But even a causal fan like me knows who Russel Hanz is. So having someone from his family breeds tons of story hooks. I bet they were trying to build up the Hanz family as a Survivor clan, or like a Survivor royal family. But why Russel was clearly built for the game, Brandon wasn't. But the name carried him even though it was clear he couldn't handle a game like this.
I heard he is a changed man... unlike me
JOHNNY FOOTBALL.
How do I found the full episode someone tell me please those chicks are beautiful to watch
Paramount Plus and Amazon are the ones I know of.
Prime example of someone who never came out of adolescence
Brandon realizing Hantz lost in the finals.
What an angry little punk. I hope he gets some serious help though.
What season is this? I just started watching the and I’ve been jumping around- suppose I could go to season 1 next but I’d happily take people’s favorite seasons!!!
This is from season 26, Caramoan. Also, I highly recommend season 37, David VS Goliath or season 28, Cagayan.
I thought they were going to have to take him out in a straight jacket
poor Brandon ruined by the Hantz name he has that reputation and i think he’s giving in to that 😢
annie shipp no its in the blood his uncle Russell is probably the least crazy he's a functioning psycho the rest are total psycho his father or uncle got expelled off Big Brother
@@ianfortuna9385 it was uncle
Joseph Russo was it?
Russell is the one of greatest players in survivor history you guys have no idea what your talking about
go to my most popular video that’s what I said Russel is my favorite survivor player but he’s still a psycho
They should have had the impact have more of an effect, just goes to show how much Survivor has changed, because it was like right after he did that, they got food and stuff again, if it was older seasons they'd be starving even more and hurting for a while at what happened.
This show is still around????
season 42 is ongoing now
Honestly this is a real survivor moment. In real life- see what would happen if u really kicked a dude out.
They should of all told the camera guy they weren’t comfortable with him being there and they will leave if he stays. Jeff would of just kicked him out
Protect andrea and Brenda at all times
Wow, he seems out of control.
This is SO funny now. I've heard all about it: behind the scenes, he asked production if he could throw this tantrum, but he had to agree not to throw any of the food in the fire. If this were a REAL tantrum, they wouldn't have been able to salvage their food sources. 100% made-for-TV.
Is this fan vs. favorites? If it is, then I skipped this part because I don't recall watching it
Where are you watching this, like I wanna start but they’re all so low quality
Try amazon prime. They have a few seasons free if you have prime.
By the way if you didnt know Brandon was trying to differentiate himself from Russell trying to say that the hantz name isnt all bad when hes more proving that it is (of course not everyone in the Hantz family is going to be a terrible person but the 2 that we know definitely are)
the dude is still with his wife and expecting another baby from her, lord have mercy
0:25 why the hell they have lounge chair have they won a reward if not its totally stupid in France the reward are Rice or Fishing Kit :/
All comfort items, including lounge chairs, are usually won by reward.
@@pugh3265 that's kinda useless :/
@@enzo6483 Would you like to sit on sticks for 39 days?
@@dpgamezderek8137 I would be the 1st voted out sooo
Next he will be praying to his god
Just googled stuff about Brandon it's simply a matter of time before he's put in the looney bin and starts talking to squirrels
Let's have a vote who's the worst survivor contestant ever?
Brandon?
Colton?
or Dan?
All The Above
Personally I don’t think either of those three are the worst players ever! (Worse to make merge and personality yeah true)
Because with people who survive a tribal or are being dragged as a goat atleast it shows that they can make it far. The worst of the worst players of all time don’t even make it that far and are usually taken out at the first tribal they attend.
What season is this LOL
season 26, Caramoan
any link to the full episode? I wanna see what happened at the challenge
Ben Davis They forfeited i think
they forfited and had tribal there
he may have been banned for unsportsmanlike and toxic conduct, This is not how one fixes problems, throwing away the only source of energy for an ENTIRE tribe, And worst of all is that he got away with it since he was the author of his own destiny being evil, arrogant and temperamental
Idc what yall say, Brandon was good TV (especially this scene)
If that would have been back in Middle Ages the tribe would have filets him for destroying food LOL.
