I did these reports years ago and was shut down. I'm happy to see this emerge again. M.A.D.A.M (Matriarchal Awareness of Domestic Violence Against Men). Had a website and all. I was put ,including my research, in the Google memory whole and erased.
I almost got abandoned by my family for dealing with a histrionic narcissist with ipv tendacies. What saved me from being destroyed was my step father stepping in and stopping what happened to him for his choosing the same type of woman...... I still am developing strategies to prevent such scenarios from happening again for me and other Black men I know. I managed to help my friends nephew to work his way out of his relationship where his mate actively participated in IPV violence.
Dr. Johnson, I always appreciate your thoughtful insight. I especially appreciate that you continue to do this when there are so few who are speaking up for the autonomy, independence, intellectual development, and overall well-being of black men in a genuine way. Thank you.
@ Dr. T. Hasan Johnson I'm about to do a show around this clip right now. Unfortunately I just had another channel knocked down which only tells me I'm moving in the right direction.
Much respect and thank you for doing this, but i disaggree slightly. It's not even that we "didn't know" or didn't have data. It's more like the information was suppressed since the get go, since we started to realize that IPV may be an issue. Instead of proper scientific research a certain group within feminism started to produce flawed data by tinkering with the definitions, as you say, and those "researches" gone mainstream since. Check out Erin Pizzey on the topic. She opened the first shelter ever for victims of IPV. She got virtually destroyed later by those feminists for saying what you say, especially for claiming that IPV is reciprocal in many cases and that women are just as likely, if not more likely to be guilty of IPV as men. She concluded this based on her experience of running those shelters. She got character annihilated despite the fact that she've done more for battered women (and men) then virtually anyone ever since. To determine how influential this group is especially on the Campuses, dig into the works of Christina Hoff Sommers. Especially her book: Who Stole Feminism. Both these women were there at the birth bed of modern feminism. And dude, do they have a lot to tell about how society was misled about male-female relations... Here is an interview with Erin Pizzey: ua-cam.com/video/oOqjLeSLa68/v-deo.html
Most, if not all black males have be harmed by IPV, but do not talk about their experiences. Often, men do not even see themselves as being victimized, because of being conditioned and socialize to accept abuse at a young age by female caretakers. Its truly sad but is starting to change.
What a time to be alive. The narratives are coming apart at the seams in the face of incontrovertible evidence.
Keep this excellent work coming Dr. J
This is exactly what is needed in this discussion.
An idea whose time has (finally) come--and not a moment too soon.
Bravo, Dr. Johnson. 👏🏿🎯💯💪🏿
Peace y’all, this is a highly valuable conversation.
They’re not interested in data.

Child abuse should have a life sentence penalty

Send them to jail
Hopefully you will put up the full video only caught the half hour on my way home from work last night,
I'm glad this space is opening up to dynamic thinkers. Dr. Johnson is quickly becoming one of my favorite channels.
Heavy subject sir
