The first mistake you made was to allow your wife to take delivery, most women will not catch any of that stuff with the car. Second mistake, you should have told the dealer you want a new vehicle, or you will sue them. These cars are 100-135K with options. They screwed your car up!
Impossible. I was traveling for work, she had to take delivery. I have three kids with #3 just being born when this X7 arrived, had no room to transport the whole family without the X7, I needed to make it work.
Yikes! I would be very upset! I have an '21 X7 M50i and I just love it! I specifically ordered it in 2020, with select features, and would have been very upset if it arrived damaged. I hope everything ends up in a positive manner.

Why would your wife sign off on this vehicle? As soon as it appeared, it has the white wrap still on the hood, obviously dirty and not clean with visible damage on the roof rails and wheels.... You must really love her....
There is more to the story then what I shared. My wife was carrying our 3rd child, of 2 weeks old, and our two other kids when this shit show was delivered in the middle of a busy street. She was overwhelmed and didn’t notice. Either way it’s fine, they paid for the damages.
I like to pick my car up from the dealership rather than having it delivered so in case I see anything I tell the dealer fix this or I'm not accepting it
So sorry for you having to deal with such a nightmare. How difficult is it keep those beautiful white seats clean? I am looking at buying a used X7 with the Ivory White / Night Blue interior and would appreciate how they have held up (beyond having incompetent delivery company).
I’ve had my X7 delivered 2 weeks ago in England. I have a slight tear in the inside door leather. But mainly one of the headlights isn’t sitting correctly as the bodywork has lipped over the light housing. No idea how this got missed at the factory.
Who’s the dealer? You could file a complaint on the dealer to BMW headquarter in Germany, and they will take these situation pretty seriously especially you bought a brand new car
Without reading the other comments - and listening to the whiney tone - you are the poster child for how NOT to take delivery of a new vehicle (BMW or otherwise) One of the fees paid - is dealer prep; unless you specifically asked for that to not occur; would have made the car ready for customer delivery. You have caused yourself unnecessary work and angst. All of USA BMW and MB orders since 1998 - (12 vehicles in 24 years) have been received in new condition; with all of the shipping materials removed; and the fluids checked, topped up, and interior/exterior detailed. Our 2004 740Li (Bangle Butt) was one of first batch of 60 to arrive in Texas- and had minor scuff marks on the rear bumper during shipping. The dealer (Classic BMW of Plano); had photos taken and shared the news - as well as buffed out the scratches and provided a fuel card for $500 of petrol as a “we’re sorry for delivery issue). Other than that single issue - there have been zero issues (delivery/cosmetic) with any of our cars. Caveat to say - zero issues we were made aware of - and perhaps were dealt with by the dealer during their pre delivery prep/inspection. We had similar great experiences with our 2008 750Li (European Delivery and shipped to our Dallas dealer approximately 2 months after our 3 week Euro Delivery Vacation); and most recently - our 2015 X5 we took delivery of in Spartanburg, and had transported to our current home in Melbourne. I recall some of your reply stating you were out of town and your wife “had to take delivery” on your behalf. I’m not walking in your shoes - but there are usually options available to avoid this scenario; one being the delay of delivery until you were home from the business trip. But this “disaster” is truly not a disaster - but an example of poor planning; and - if my guess that you didn’t allow/request for a proper dealer prep/detail (even to your local BMW dealer if you purchased the X7 out of state); would have resolved these options (and reduce the anticipated stress you may have caused your pregnant wife (approx 7 months ago,) as you tried to deal with basic delivery/prep issues that the dealers perform. Here is hoping you have survived your self made crisis and are enjoying your X7. I’ve ordered our latest i7 and X7 for Spartanburg delivery in October this year; we are planning a pickup and USA holiday with both beasts for 2 weeks; (right hand drive configured!); and are then having them packed and shipped home to Melbourne on Nov; they are due to arrive week 3 or week 4 in Jan 2023; our fingers crossed for minimal container shipment delays !
The rim damage is due to the wheel straps they used. I'm guessing the roof rail damage was from where it made contact in car carrier...upper bracketry. I'd be flipping PISSED!!! GO....GET'EM!

That's just a shame, it seems like those delivery drivers are colossal scumbags. Did you choose them, or were they recommended by the BMW dealer?
It was a mix, they typically had good luck with the broker, but the ultimate end trucking company sucked.
