Thanks bro... just a tad muted the ambient sound than what I would like. I think if you point this mic while filming hot wok cookng, that would be awesome.. lol!
Another good video my friend! You keep coming up with new places for me to put on my "places to go" list for my next trip to KL. As far as the sound goes, it sounded fine to me, but I might not a good judge of that. I am hard of hearing on one ear and only hear half of the time out of my other.😁 Be well and blessings to you and your family!
Thanks buddy and as for the audio, will be testing a few more options but I do like going simple, quick and easy so this setup as good as it sounds may not be the best option for me except for certain shooting scenarios.
Starbucks, McDonald's, and specialty french fries all in one plaza. Can't go wrong with that. 😊 As far as the microphone test goes, the Deity D4 Mini sounds great. It sounds good from the front and from behind. I'm kind of surprised about that, because whenever I tried a shotgun mic on my cameras, I found it was far too quiet when it was in front of me and facing me. It only sounded good when it was very close to my mouth. But the Deity seems to be much better quality. And I guess whether you can use the mic like this depends on how often you turn the camera around. I tried various techniques to do that in the past, and I was never able to find a convenient way to do it. However, I have the habit of turning my camera around constantly. So I would have to somehow swing the mic around every minute or two. And I would often still be talking as I turned the camera. And handling the microphone added a lot of noise to the audio. And that just became too much of a hassle. And that's why I eventually got a wireless microphone. After that, I never had to worry about holding the camera and where the microphone is pointing. But in your case, I don't think you turn the camera around as often as I do. Then it wouldn't be as big a problem to loosen the microphone mount and turn it around to point in the other direction and tighten it up again. If you only did that occasionally, it would be okay.
Yeah good observations buddy. One thing to share, after I did this test while sitting at the cafe extracting the video file to my phone, I realized I could easily swing the mic around with the side cold shoe mount on the Ulanzi... lol! That being said, I would still need to stop recording and twist the mic around to avoid unwanted sounds.
FIRST ! Sound test good, super clear.

Did i see a drone shot? 😄😄😄. The sounds are clear.
LOL... not my drone. Satisfied with the sound but quite troublesome so I keep hunting for mics that will make it easier and not fiddle too much.
By the way, can never go wrong with Starbucks!🙂 Love that place!
Especially for Doug.. 😆
Specialty french fries? I'll have to give it a try next time I'm in Malaysia.
Enticing isnt it? My brain keeps thinking what flavors will they have available... yikes! lol!
