I've had plenty of claypot chicken rice and this one in Setapak is one of the best I've had. The chicken pieces are big and flavourful and so is the sauce they put on the rice. I would drive from PJ to Setapak for this.

The claypot chicken rice looks delicious and nutritious! Its kitchen is like a gamelan of claypots. lol. I love KL, a beautiful city with so much excellent food 👍👍🥰🥰😋😋
For simple cheap ingredients and selling at 7.50 is simply too cut throat. Doesn't look homemade to me either. Does the aunty really know what is homemade means? Is the noodle even made themselves?
@@kekyt8377 Many places are selling at cut throat, small portion. Eg char keow teow noadays don't have kau choi and only 1 prawn. The wet market food court at air panas sells yin yong/hokkien mee at RM11 or RM12. The food preciously selling for RM6 raised to RM7 or RM7.50. I now days cook. Outside price is 300% or more. Business are very dishonest. I've seen they bought in bulk cheap mostly rotten vegs (wilted veg bad tomatoes, black spots cauliflower) at cheap price and claim prices increases. Ain't gonna buy from that shop.
@@cibewill1617 yes agree with you. The shop and preparation area looked so dirty. Have u seen the vegy she put? 2 lousy small leaf. That vegy big bunch only cost RM2 and I think she will use for 20 bowls at least. All cheap stuff like soy sauce, starch, cheap noodle, taugeh and egg. I think the whole cost is only RM3 at most. Worst is the aunty say homemade. She is definitely dishonest person. Yeah me too always cook at home. So healthy and so cheap and so fresh and clean.

It is amazing how simple yet delicious these foods are..❤ I personally can live off street foods the entire time I am im a new country. The major food chain would go bankrupt if they think they would get my hard earned money..😊
Yes, they are healthily made as well. Totally agreed with you as the major food chains had advertising and brand name to go with it, otherwise, the kids would not have bothered. Growing up in Malaysia, I do not even bother with these McD, KFC, etc. but a frequent patron of such street food.
@@FoodHunter I’m heading to SE Asia for a few months this winter, definitely checking out Malaysia and will be tracking down these eateries you highlight❤️
The rojak is big portion for a good price although its only half egg but the sotong is definately more. The one that sells on a bike at desa setapak is 1 egg for RM6 but sotong is less.
Thank you for sharing your lovely Food video....Please it'd be great if you'd leave the prices in Malaysian ringgit and avoid flashing its value in US$....There is no reason for that..just show respect to the country's monetary value...because showing favouritism to conversation to US$ may insult viewers from other countries...Keep up with your good presentation....Perth W.A.

That "loh mee" looked really good. It reminded me of the mee goreng that I recently had in the U.S. Maybe, one day, I will visit Malaysia.

Food Hunter. Are you able to find the claypot chicken rice at Petaling Street under the iron bridge back in the 80s? Or no longer exist ?
绝了,才放两片碎青菜
而且分量很小,起码要吃两份才能饱
ใส่ใบผักน่าเกียดมากใส่ตั้งสองใบ
most of the food are original from china and vietnam

Showing the prices in USD is merely for easy comparison for viewers who aren’t familiar of the MYR, this has nothing to do with respect 💀
