I think the telepath we saw in X men 2 United was not brother of Charles Xavier. He was William stryker's son named Jason as far as I know

What I think of the x men timeline is that x-men first class is common to both timelines as it took place in 1962 and in dofp, logan went back in 1973 to change the events thus changing everything we knew from that point on, that means the x-men,x2 and last stand along with origins, the wolverine..all events of those movies got erased and got replaced by a new timeline, which i believe led to the mr. sinister and essex corp. arc which we see in apocalypse, dp2, logan and new mutants. So the gist is that the old movies don't exist anymore because of time travel (as of what I assume the timeline to be, many have different interpretations) so the golden gate bridge being in void doesn't make sense unless the whole timeline somehow went to void before getting erased as a result of mystique's decision.
