Nothing like butter tea to take away the weariness in your bones on a long road trip. That's some mindblowing scenery, you're so lucky to be able to travel to those amazing places. I also see a new Toyota Fortuner in the middle of the video. I would have a hard time maneuvering a donkey on those tiny roads, let alone a big SUV.
Awesome stuff, as ever, guys. The road conditions look pretty good. I'm doing Ladakh later this year in my Civic. Your video makes me want to just leave now and start driving. Have already done the Spiti circuit, was so cool to see those beautiful roads again.

Haha! Don't know about the achievement part. It was 16 hours including food and stops. We started at 5 in the morning. Breakfast at Batal. Few tea stops in the way. Then Food at Pang. Reached leh at around 9:30. The road was quite smooth after Gramphoo.

Thanks a lot for watching Saarthak! 11 Hours from Rohru to Kaza 16 Hours from Kaza to Leh Do share it with your friends and make sure you hit the like button and help us get more views.
Hey Himanshu. Love your work man. Me and 6 other friends of mine are heading to leh from Rohru. We are a bit low on the budget. Considering we got our own car and a bike(a gypsy and a bullet) and we have a tent with us for night stays. How much money should we take with us. And can you also tell the best route for us to travel? We are little inexperienced in trekking and trips,so if you can help that would be great! Thanks
Thanks a lot for watching Vashvik! So on a gypsy be ready to spend about 15K just on Fuel. For places around Leh, the cost might go up.Can't be sure about the fuel cost of a bullet. You can pitch tents but also get beds in the food joints for about 100-200 rs per person. Just carry your sleeping bags. Their quilts might not be that clean Your friends on Enfield will have a tough time from Kaza to Gramphoo. Carry proper biking safety gear and extra pair of socks and shoes. For enfield you might also need to carry fuel. There is no petrol pump after Tandi. After Tandi, next pump is after 360km. Leh is a very big city, so you'll get everything there. So carry enough cash to reach Leh. Leh is crowded and will be expensive if you are on a budget, so stay at homestays in the adjoining villages ( Shey and Thiksey ). They are more peaceful and also cheap. As for the route, if you wanna go via Kaza, take the road via Sungri. Sungri - Rampur - Kaza - Gramphoo - LEH ROADyou can also go via Manali - A lot smoother roads. (permits required to cross rohtang) - Manali Leh Road. I'll suggest going via Spiti. Hope that helped. Great video and goes well with the music , thanks for sharing this video, we are planning to do Leh Ladakh from Bangalore by Road In a duster in august 1 st week , how are the road conditions , is it advisable to do it at that time given the monsoons.
Road is excellent. Just two three watercrossings and rest is fine. It hardly rains in the high altitude areas. So don’t worry. Have a safe trip. Thanks a lot for watching ! Do share it with your friends and make sure you hit the like button and help us get more views.

Fabulous...👌👍😀 Himanshu you are back to reviving our old memories with your each trip. Did Ladakh in September 2016 in Swift Dzire but virtually travelling with you on Gypsy is amazing. The way Gypsy tackled the worst Batal-Gramphoo stretch is commendable. Now that you have sufficient experience with Gypsy I have a few queries: 1. Are you using original stock tyres? 2. How much mileage Gypsy gave on Ladakh trip? Thanks once again. Cheers 🙂
Thanks a lot for watching Saurabh!Must have been great. Visit again as Manali-Leh road is a lot better Haha! Batal Gramphoo is home territory for the gypsy. 1. Nope Upgraded it to Geolandar ATS. Stock tyres are good on the mountains, rocks and muddy terrain. but horrible on highways. 2. 13.7 from Kaza to Leh. and 13.4 on an average. Do share it with your friends and make sure you hit the like button and help us get more views.
Thanks alot for the valuable information. :) It's amazing that Gypsy has given excellent mileage on such a treacherous high altitude terrain with rarified air. Hands down nothing can beat a Gypsy and even after more than three decades of its launch it still has immense following. Cheers!!!

Hi, awesome video, thank you! I live in New York, but I dream of visiting the Himalayas one day. What a stunning scenery. I don't operate motor vehicles. So I won't be able to take that route? I heard there are public buses, is that right. Wow the road is so long, 720 KM. Do the bus drivers make stops, that I can hook my bike to the bus and ride some of the paths in between stops? Or are the roads very difficult to navigate? This entire area looks like Hindu Kush to me, or are these mountains still the Himalayas?
You definitely should visit. There are regular busses, cabs and shared cabs. Won't be a problem. They do stop midway as it takes about two days to reach from Manali to Leh. The roads are damn beautiful and not difficult at all. Thanks a lot for watching Boris! Hope you enjoyed it. Help us reach 100K subscribers. great video. Is the gypsy tiresome to drive in the winding hills?Considering it has no power steering and hard suspension?would like to know your thoughts on this
Quite the opposite. Its a pleasure to drive. You can accelerate on rough roads because of the leaf springs so you end up overtaking all the other cars. But its only for two people. People at the back will have l a hell like journey in it. Need for Power steering is only required while parking the car. Thanks a lot for watching Rohit ! great video.

Beautiful video as always. You did Kaza leh in a single day? Kudos!!

I'm starting my journey on 14 July...... Can you say me the difficulty's that I can face and the amount of snow I can see
There won’t be any difficulty if you know how to drive in the hills Umair. Keep to your left and don’t worry about the snow. There won’t be any snow on the road. Might see a little around the high passes.
