I've had my biolite for many years and it works great especially on the Pacific coast. Although unnecessary in most of the Pacific Northwest, using wood pellets is a great idea for camping in the deserts here where wood is scarce.

My friend has had one since they were introduced, I have the original model and this one too. I love the things! It isn't light so weight weenies move along. It has a kettle that goes with it, it vasty increases the heat transfer and power generation and is definitely worth having.
Yeah it's a great, well made bit of kit 👍😁
I got one in 2019, along with the kettle and grill. Grill lid doubles as a plate/tray. That kettle is somthing else, huge, holds lots of water/food; and the biolite packs away into it.

Never see wood litter tray stuff, though ive never had a cat
It's quite popular these days, several of my customers use it.
Never seen anyone use cat litter for a rocket stove … that’s new
It's just compressed wood pellets, so I figured it's gotta work, and it's better value than buying the pellets especially for these types of stoves :D
@@MoreThanJustaCleaner that’s honestly really cool , I ordered my stove it should be coming tomorrow , so this is definitely a great idea , what’s the difference between the cat litter wood and the wood one can use like the flavored pellets from those smoke parley bbq grills …

In all honesty I don't know! I don't know if any of them are hard wood or softer wood or maybe a combo. All I know is the cat litter wood pellets work :) I found this out because I tried the in my Solo Stove Mesa XL first :)
It does make it easy. You don't need to take the whole sack, just a bagful of however many stovefuls you might need :)
It's called the biolite 2 not this 2+ crap and yeah I'd have 1 if it wasn't for the price and the fact that you can't use it in a tent so no not worth buying if I can't stay in the tent and charge my phone id rather take multiple battery packs than have to charge something that takes a lit flame and constant feed the fire to charge other stuff so no not worth anything really plus the outside of it after awhile burns and melts just from the repeated burnings so it's a definite hell no since the fan requires it to be charged in order for just the internal fan to work
